I purchased these shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis.The ONLY thing that has permanently helped the pain (for me) is strengthening the foot by running barefoot (yes, without shoes, on a treadmill) and applying ice 1-2 times per day.However, it is nice to have supportive shoes for work and around the house, when I''m not able to self-correct my foot positioning.I already own a pair of Orthaheel sandals and clogs, so I''ve been very pleased with their arch support and pronation control.These shoes are different from these others, in that the orthopedic insert is removable, just like a traditional athletic shoe.The sole/insert of this shoe isn''t as cushy and forgiving as the one-piece sole of their sandals/clogs; and the arch support isn''t nearly as high. Personally, I wish this shoe had better padding, both underneath and surrounding the foot, slightly more arch support, and more mesh on the uppers to increase breathability. I would have given these a 3 star rating, because I would expect more comfort from such an expensive shoe, but I''ve found they are so good at correcting my gate/stance that I can overlook the padding just a little.The planar/pronation control footbed essentially forces me to stand/walk correctly-it''s easy to still "cheat" sometimes with the sandals, clogs, and orthopedic inserts-so I have to give these shoes a 5 for their therapeutic benefit.All things considered, a 4 seems fair.My only hope is that Orthaheel will put a little more effort into the comfort and design of their future shoes, as I will definitely be looking to buy more.
UPDATE: I still love these shoes.They have been the only pair wide enough to accommodate my orthotics (which did NOT actually do much for me) without bending the side arch, and the shoes helped my plantar fasciitis quite a bit.Unfortunately, my foot pain lingered at a 7/10.After trying MANY more things/shoes, I finally found that my pronation and achilles tendon were ALSO causing me foot pain.I began stretching the back of my achilles/hamstring and arch with a yoga strap every night before bed, and this brought down my foot pain to a 3/10.What finally brought me back to 100% were DANSKOS, of all things!You absolutely CANNOT pronate in Danskos without breaking your ankle.Fortunately, I have strong ankles, so problem solved.My pain is now, FINALLY, a 0/10!!!
I also heard that alternating shoes/footbeds will strengthen your foot, so I switched to Crocs at home to pad the foot and strengthen my super high arch.
Let me tell you, I''m on my feet all day long, and I WAS IN AGONY.I would cry sometimes, they hurt so bad.Danskos, Crocs, and a yoga strap brought me back to normal.Hopefully I can save someone a LOT of money trying out different shoes.Also, the black-inside Danskos have better (amazing) padding, and the used ones are every bit as good as the new ones.

I wholeheartedly agree with the previous reviewer that the blue Craizie is a must. It''s the perfect shade for jeans--not too navy, not too fake ''denim-y'' either. I normally wear platform wedges so was worried the non wedge heel height might feel too wobbly. Turns out this actually feels more stable and comfy than nearly all my wedges, even the shorter ones!! The leather is quality, as is the wood-like heel. The platform is just tall enough at the toe for a little boost, but not so dramatic that women of a certain age feel ridiculous. I love how secure they feel on my feet. They fit true to size, maybe a teensy narrow at the heel. My only worry is the laces are very thin and I tend to cinch these fairly tight...if a lace snaps it would be a PITA to find a replacement to match so perfectly. So be careful when tying. Otherwise I have no hesitation recommending these as a superb purchase. The blue can be worn year round so it''s a great value. Walk tall!

These were indeed cheap. But I''ve come to expect quality sandals from sanuk and these didn''t live up to that at all. The insole compressed within the first week of wear, leaving them without any real cushion. I then stepped in some undesirable dog stuff so I washed them and placed them in the sun to dry. After a couple hours in the sun, the glue between the insole and outsole melted and the two halves separated. All in all I got about three weeks out of these cheepies. I have had these for over a year... I bought them in the tan color, but have seen the gray in stores and they are a whole different look, both adorable. I was holding onto the gray in the store and people kept walking past making comments!Real leather is one of my most favorite things, these have been through both dust and mud and still look amazing when cleaned and polished a little.

The only reason that this review is missing 1 star is that one of the sandals that I received is crooked and the leather on that sandal has a divot. However, my feet are sort of like that anyway.They are comfortable and look sweet on my feet.
I did order the EU38 for my size 7.5 narrow feet. The laces allow for adjustment and my toes are just barely peeping out the front.

These shoes are very well constructed and the general feeling of support of the ankle area, the midfoot and arch is better than any shoe I''ve ever worn regular or athletic. They feel very solid, supportive and very, very comfortable.
Standing on a tape measure, my foot is exactly 12" from heel to the tip of the large toe; I normally wear a 12 or 12 1/2C, but I ordered size 13. This usually results in a shoe fitting too loosely somewhere on my foot and/or allowing my foot to slip inside the shoe when I come to a stop but even with the extra room in front of my toes the fit is outstanding, with no looseness or sliding in any respect.

Yes, to me, it''s more than just a purchase, it''s an investment.
I''m 33 and have had some bad knee pain for a few years and tried many different things including seeing a doctor, a chiropractor, using Sketchers Shape-ups (which actually did help a little) and wearing a knee brace.
I read good things about these shoes but couldn''t find them anywhere, went to at least 10 different stores looking for them with no luck, so I ordered them on here. Yes there is a difference between their running shoes and their walking shoes, the fit will be the same but the actual design is different, so if you''re concerned about the size just try another one of their gel shoes on and see what fits, but if your main use is walking, get these.
Anyway, I take these shoes out for a day at Six Flags Over Texas...not a single pain.
The next day, walked to work (about 2 miles each way) spent 7 hours almost nonstop on my feet...not a single pain.
So far had these for about a week and only once did I have a slight pain, but this is going from having to put an ice pack on my leg every night.
So yes, it''s a great investment. My feet and knees feel so much better. If you are considering buying these, the answer is yes!

These sandals are good looking (my wife disagrees), very comfortable and don''t smell (it''s October now) despite my wearing them daily for four months.The quality is very good, no rips or tears.The tread on the bottom is beginning to wear down, but what I would expect with the usage they''ve had. The comfort is really great, nice cushioning and no blisters from the straps even at the beginning. I will definitely be buying another pair of these for next season (I''d keep using these, but I''ve gotten paint and other dirt on them by now).This is a good design. Comfortable, stays on even when wet, better-than-average support for poolside flip-flops and sandals. Also more durable than I expected an unexpected bonus.
