Reef Men''s Leather J-Bay Thong Sandal

I am now on my third pair of Reef''s J-Bay thongs. I wear them everyday, I think they are great. I have a couple of reservations however that I think you should know about. The footpad is made of some composite leather and tends to wear and crack at the heal. This area also tends to compress. There is a good arch support built in. This being said that my first pair was so admired they were stolen while in the hospital. I liked them so much I bought a second pair (to replace the stolen ones) to wear everyday around the house, lawn and the boat; a third pair for when I travel to town. Enjoy!

I ordered these thinking that I would have a very high end sandal.

It was a very good sandal for sure, very well made and nice looking. But it does not last longer than the others, or maybe even deteriorates quicker because of the treated leather under your feet which loses its color and nice texture with your sweat faster than its plastic equivalent.

I had them for a year, wearing them once a week and I think that I will be able to keep them another year but probably not more.

Don''t put sand on them though, it rips off the leather when you walk with them.

I have also been wearing a variety of Reef sandals for years and years.Most notably the Fannings, of which I have owned ten pairs and find them to be the best rubber sandal on the market.For the last two years I was wearing a leather sandal called the Cobain Lonestar, and really really loved them.They were Super comfy and stylish, but were literally falling apart.After being in a leather sandal for 2 years,I had a hard time going back to a rubber one, unless I was going to the beach or lake.

I found the J-Bay and tried them on at a store, but they were $75!!Amazon carried them for only $45, so I ordered a pair.I kid you not I ordered my pair on thursday afternoon with a 2 day shipping option,and they arrived Friday at noon.the next day!I couldnt believe it.Anyhow,the sandals are amazing.They are cut to hug your foot like the sole of a shoe, which means you don''t have to grip your toes when walking like you do in a ''floppier'' sandal.Also the bottom of the soles are rubber and leave you feeling very solid.The leather is all very nice, and after only 3 days of wearing them I am in Love with them.I can only imagine how well they will continue molding to my feet.

I wear a 12, and they feel true to size.If you have a super wide foot, this sandal may be a bit too snug for you, and they are pretty slim.

These flip flops are actually really nice looking and very comfortable.I sent them back once because they looked darker in the picture than they actually were.After I sent them back I regretted it and actually re-bought them the next day. They felt real nice on the feet with moderate arch support. I recommend that you buy one (1) size up from your shoe size because they do run small. The materials are premium and the price is amazing on amazon (you can''t find them for under $75.00 anywhere else). I highly recommend but take into account that they are lighter in person than pictured.Great sandal.

Overall I have always been satisfied with Reef sandals, however these do not seem to be as comfortable as others I have owned.I hate to say it, but if you are going to spend the money I would buy Rainbows.If the sandals get more comfortable over time I will revisit my review and let everyone know that sandals have improved.

Bought these for my daughter who plays sports.There were shiped and recieved in 4 days, they do run SMALL.My daughter is a women 9.5 so i orderd a womans 10/Mens 8 and they barly fit.

These types of Nike slides are very comfortable.I bought them for my boyfriend and he said that they are one of the few slides he''s had that don''t dig into his toes.Be careful if your feet are wide, though, because they are very narrow and your usual size may not fit.

I bought these for my 11 year old to wear in between basketball games, I think they are a perfect starter sandal if you don''t or can''t spend the money on more expensive pairs. The sole is very hard and plastic-y and the part that goes over the foot is very cushion-y and soft. He hasn''t complained about them and they were well worth the money I paid for them.

I love nine west shoes and have multiple pairs so I thought I would try this one. The shoe is fitting and is fairly comfortable but the shape it is in is not too great. It looks like someone was bending and twisting it. The leather on the sides is already all broken like the shoe has been in the heat or worn by someone else.

Love the product but I wish it was in a different condition.

Crocs Unisex Modi Flip Flop

My first pair was the best flip flop I ever had.Then I bought a new pair and it caused red marks from rubbing the top of my foot.

I could not figure out why the first pair was so good and the 2nd pair so bad.Turns out they shortened the band between the toe by 1/4 inch.Now the top rubs my foot constantly, removing my skin and irritating it.

I called Crocs and they measured another 12 or so pairs and they were all 1/4 inch shorter in the band so it was not a defective pair that I had received but a change in the way they make them.

So even though there are a ton of 5 star reviews I assume this is for the pair I had originally as I also rated it 5 stars on Crocs Website. Beware on this new cut because it might rub the top of your foot constantly.

I have noticed other Crocs products have had the same issue including their flagship sandal.Reviewers have complained that they loved their original pair and then they bought a 2nd pair that was produced in a different country from the 1st pair and they were not comfortable at all because they were sized differently.It seems Crocs has a quality control problem with their manufacturing.

I''ve owned a pair of Modi Flip Flops for over a month now, and they are hands-down the best sandals I''ve ever had. I found Crocs after being diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis , Fibromyalgia & Neuralgia. I love my last pair of Eastland loafers.These however are not the same quality.They only have half of an insole.The ball of the foot and toes are directly on the course leather.I had to buy insoles after spending almost sixty dollars.Very disappointing.We''ll see how they hold up.

I will admit to being a bit skeptical about purchasing shoes over the internet. I am a visual person, :) so I always like to know how something is going to look on me before buying. ( I hate having to deal with returning/shipping items as well)

I had checked out some department stores and some other shops at the mall. I did go to Steve Madden at the mall, and I saw these boots and wanted to try them on, but sadly they did not have my size. These boots are heaven to my feet. :) I love the length, (I have longer legs so I was worried where these would exactly fall on me, they fall just below my knee) I like the slight "positioned" slouch they have to them. These boots do not "pull down" when you walk in them, they stay put. With my previous pair of knee length boots I was always having to pull them up as they would "fall" after a bit. These don''t do that.

They are very comfortable to walk and be in. They are simple yet so stylish! I like the flat heel, it really makes for a comfortable fit. I have some high heeled boots, but after so long, your feet start screaming for a break. :) You''ll wear these all day without any tears. :)

I also recommend getting a suede protector spray, I got these in black, and with most suede boots, it will pick up dirt....you''re going to want protect these lovely boots for as long as you can! :)

Though I normally wear a size 6, I first got these in a 6.5 to be safe. They were too big, and one boot had a larger circumference than the other, so the looser one kept slipping down... Amazon has excellent customer service, so I was able to send them back as defective and order another pair (this was Thanksgiving so I also got a 30% off)

These boots are very well-made, they''re so soft and comfortable! They''re also really warm so I''m hoping they''ll keep me nice and comfy through the winter. The real suede is really nice so I sprayed it with suede protector. Highly recommend these!

I got these in the hunter green and the coloring was gorgeous.I slipped them on and they fit okay, but they hurt the soles of my feet!The design of the boot is niceslouchy, relaxedgreat to be paired with rolled up jeans and/or a lazy skirt... presumably.

STYLE:

the boot came up mid calf.I have long legs (36" inseam), but I''ve found a few pairs of boots that reach my knees at least.These came up to mid calf, which had a way of cutting my long legs in half, making me look awkward.I tried to pull up the "foldover" part of the boot and even with that up, they still barely reached the bottom of my knee cap.

The slouchy design is wicked cute.I wished these fit me right.

the rounded toe and the flat foot paired with the slanted rise of the front of the shoe for the top of you foot, makes the shoe look like an elf shoe.(especially in the green color, unfortunately.I maybe should have picked a different color for my first Steve Madden flat boots)

COMFORT:

the sole of the boot is really hard.The foot casing cuts into the backs of my heels/ ankles.

I ordered a size 8 (which is my typical sneaker size) and they were a little big for me.If you''re borderline sizes, order down.

there was plenty of room for the calves, even when the top of the boot hit right in the "meat" of my calf muscle.

the shoe is so flat that it actually hurts my foot.There is no arch support whatsoever.Could be just me, but I guess I really can''t do flat boots.Ifyou have high arches, these aren''t the shoes for you.

Other Steve Madden boots have come to me "small" but these boots are true to size. They do not fall down when you wear them and they are very nicely "scrunched".Very comfortable.The gray is an odd color dark but not a true dark gray.It doesn''t really match heather gray, light gray clothes although it looks "OK" so I wouldn''t really recommend that color.

These are really cute & comfortable.They are lined all everywhere inside except for the footbed.That is a very soft sued.The bottom is supportive like a sneaker!Much more comfortable than the traditional Uggs.They also run smaller in width than the traditonal Uggs.The length seems normal. You have to grab the back of them to shove your foot in them & tug them off.They are warm but not as warm as the traditonal Uggs.I wish the traditional Uggs had the support of these Uggs except with the full lining!That would be pure toasty foot heaven!

For those of you who like to show off that you are wearing genuine Uggs, they don''t have the usual metal logo on the back of the heel.It is printed into the back of the heel in the same color as the boot.It is also featured along one side.

Nice Looking boot, a little hard to get into.Needed a larger size than normal.

I did buy a pair for 69.00 not the same pair I saw at the surf shop, but I was happy. Very comfortable, for people that live in

flip flops they are a must have. My opinion is this, if you are a ugg boot fan, these are for you. If comfort is important to you and quality workmanship, you may want these. I can see myself getting two more pairs of different styles.If the price seems aconcern I use a rubber flip flop from bass for work, up and down ladders. Maybe in a year or so I could see using the olukai for painting. Sooner if work picks up. Your not paying for style,at least I''m not. I''m paying for technolgy. It just happens style is baked in. I used to buy oakley, I will use them for painting now. Good flip flops that last for years. Before buying the 149.00, go the route I did, get the 69-79 pair. Not for everybody, but if your thinking about getting a pair, I did.
