I found these so comfy, so soothing to my troubled feet, that I ordered them in another sandal style (no toe wrap, black) and fell in love with those even more.This style, while nice and comfy, can be troublesome around the toe for some (and even me some days if I don''t adjust the straps just so).
These do keep your foot in place better than the other non-toe wrap style, but the others give the foot more flexibility. So, this style gets one star removed for that particular issue--the toe thing. Some people prefer the stability of the toe-wrap. I prefer the freedom and ability to "shrug" my toes in the other styles.
I now have five pairs of these pricey sandals (OMIGOSH, how much I spent!) because they make my feet happy. These may not be sexy, but they are well-constructed, will last ages, can be cleaned after every use with a cleanser and sponge or an antibacterial gel (I sometimes use that with a sponge or cloth) and a shot of Lysol. (Yeah, I like my sandals CLEAN.) And it doesn''t affect it. They keep right on striding.
Walk in a soggy garden, through the rain, in the dirt. No matter. These clean up and keep going.
With casual wear, these are my number one footwear now. Cool. Anti-fungal (for those with these issues, these let your feet BREATHE). Esy to care for. Fun in a kicky casual groove with jeans and leggings (bootcut, especially).
And the company tries to be socially and eco-responsible. That''s a plus.
If you have plantar fasciitis, give these a try. These are the ONLY shoes I don''t immediately kick off when I get home. :)

NOTE: These run a bit large. I have them in both my normal size (10) and in one smaller(9), and I find I prefer the smaller size. It''s up to how much "bumper room" you like for your feet. Strongly recommend you consider downsizing a size, and if you''re between sizes (ie, you''re 8.5), definitely size down to an 8, rather than up to a 9.
I LOVE these sandals for a variety of reasons.
1. Excellent Arch Support. I have crazy high arches and these shoes give great support.
2. Keeps my feet aligned. Between the heel strap, deep heel cup, and toe loop, my feet stay aligned and saves my back and knees from undo wear and tear.
3. They fit my Fred Flinstone feet. I was nervous about purchasing a pair of chaco''s with a toe loop because I have wide feet. Because the straps are adjustable I have had no problems fitting my feet.
A word to the wise It does take some time and effort to adjust the straps to the perfect fit. These shoes mold to your feet so be patient in finding the perfect fit. It usually takes me about 2 months to fully break in a pair of chacos and find the "sweet spot" for the adjustable straps.

I have had these sandals for some time now and they are awesome! The unaweep technology allows for your own custom fit and the footbeds have wonderful support. I have worn these over all kinds of terrain and they haven''t failed me yet. I would definately recommend these to all active individuals.

Living in the midwest I could not find the kind of trekking sandal I was looking for. When my cousin from CO visited the first thing I noticed was her sandals. "What kind are they and where can I get a pair?" I love them because the straps are adjustable for a custom fit. They have great arch support. I never wore sandals with a toe strap before but do like this one because I realize what it does is stablize my foot. I don''t mind paying the money when I get my money''s worth. These sandals are quality and worth it.
I bought the antique blue, which looks as it does in the picture; navy blue with not too much visible antiquing. It''s not mentioned in the description, but I was sent the soft footbed, which is normally a few dollars more than the originals. Not a problem because they are VERY comfortable, and not as masculine as the Arizona''s. This is a great shoe for schlepping around summer concerts, festivals and flea markets when a lot of walking and standing is going on. These aren''t 6" studded platforms & won''t go with everything in my closet, but even a diva has to give her feet and the show shoes a rest. These are good to drive in and the neutral blue looks good with bold colored pedis too.
