These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. I normally wear a size 7 1/2 shoe for jogging, Zumba, gym, etc. as I like a little extra room in case my feet swell during exercise. I had been wearing Avia 7 1/2''s for jogging, Saucony 7 1/2''s for Zumba, so I ordered the 7 1/2 in the Ryka Transition, figuring I could exchange them if they were too big. They fit perfectly! In fact they felt like slippers on my feet. Here''s what I noticed yesterday wearing these for Zumba for the first time (after 4 months of wearing a heavy-soled jogging shoe): they are light so you can get your foot around from front to back easier; you can "drag" your foot toward center without sticking to the floor; you can pivot and turn in a complete circle and still stop on a dime; you can stand on your toes without your heels popping out; when I took them off after a grueling 65 minute workout my feet were not sore at all, no red marks, no impressions from stitching, etc. I would definitely recommend Ryka Transition for Zumba.

I was looking for new shoes for Zumba and after doing a little online research I narrowed down my choices to the Ryka Transition and the Nike Free TR fit.I was able to try on the Nike trainers in a store and decided against them right away. They did not have enough cushioning or arch support. They felt really flat. I ordered the Rykas in my normal shoe size (7) and hoped they would fit. I got them yesterday in time for my Zumba class. They were a perfect fit and felt so much better than the Nikes.They are a bit wide in the toe area, so I wouldn''t recommend to someone with more narrow feet. My feet are a bit wide, so they suit me just fine.These shoes are awesome! For Zumba I had been wearing my New Balance which have smooth soles and were kind of slippery on the hardwood floor. What a difference! My Rykas have enough grip to keep me from sliding when I don''t want to.But I can still glide, turn and spin with ease. In a word: Perfect.

I''m a zumba instructor and am constantly trying to find a good shoe. These are perfect. Light weight and the don''t stick to the floor. The inner soles feel amazing. I have somewhat flat feet so it''s really hard to find a shoe that supportive but not painful. Best shoe I''ve found so far and trust me I''ve gone through tons inculding the shoe that zumba produces. If I have any complaints at all, its that I would like them to last a little longer. The shoes are great for casual dress where you would normally need a pair of black shoes. They look sharp. They are well made and as comfortable as any other chuck shoe. They breathe well through the vents. All in all a good buy.

An important note, they seem to run a bit large. I wear an 11 in mens, they arrived at about 11 1/2, and now as they are breaking in they are about an 11 3/412. I''ve read others saying the same thing. Buy a half size smaller than you would usually wear.

I love these! I''m not the typical girly girl and like to have a nice pair of brown and black shoes to wear with everyday outfits as I am in my 20''s. I have had these for over a year and they are still in great condition! I have worn them in the rain and snow and have the brown pair. The only downfall is that some has gotten a bit darker then the other brown from the water but i never waterproofed them at all.

Didn''t think I would, but the dusky pink color looked interesting so I bought them on impulse when I saw free shipping/returns. I have more than enough high heels -including two different shades of bright pink -so I figured these would look like those, more or less.

Wrong! These shoes are quite unique. First, the color is unusual, kinda like mauve rather than rose, you know? Just the slightest blue/violet undertone creates a muted, rather sophisticated shade. More like a neutral than a pop of color -a colored neutral, maybe??

From time to time, I''ll find a top or dress in this shade and it''s a bit of a joke for me to hold the material up to my face and suddenly my olive complexion looks sallow & sickly. Funny, though, this color totally works on my feet! The tones blend to create a long, lean leg the way a nude/beige shoe does, only this pinkish color is sooooo much more interesting. And fun!

And the gold studs add to the retro vibe, very 70''s -will work well with both skinny & bootcut jeans, as well as skirts & shorts.

Surprisingly easy to walk in, too. The heel is high but there''s a nice big platform in the front to help keep the foot angle manageable. Still, it''s a bit tricky to walk in and not something I''d wear clomping around the city for hours. But neither is it a pointy stiletto that will have you teetering thru every incline and praying you don''t snap a heel (or an ankle!).

One bummer, though: the item description says the sole is rubber but it''s not. It''s resin. Like, hard, cheap, plastic resin. The good news is, the shoe bottoms are covered by a grippy rubbery material that''s helpful when negotiating tile floors & such but does NOT offer much at all in the way of cushioning. If the soles were *all* rubber, though, these shoes would be super awesome and ridiculously walkable.

As they are now, they''re simply awesome and walkable, which I think is a lot to ask from shoes under thirty bucks, delivered!! Enjoy...

Merrell Women''s Lithe Glove Barefoot Running Shoes

I purchased these as my "winter" barefoot shoes.I currently own two pairs of Merrell Pace Glove''s and the Lithe Glove doesn''t even compare in comfort.They are stiff and don''t flex like the Pace Glove.I was hoping I could wear these thru the winter months.Because of the Pace Glove''s mesh breathability, they are not suited for winter wear.I ended up returning these and purchasing my second pair of Pace Gloves.

Merrell shoes run small on me by a half size.I have the Pace Glove in size 9.5 and love them.Bought the same size of the Lithe Glove in cosmo purple because I love the color and hoped they would fit the same and be water resistant.The Lithe is much more stiff than the Pace and the Lithe length is slightly longer, perhaps a 9 would be better.I have read a lot of reviews about the heel fabric giving people blisters and cutting through the skin.The fabric is very stiff around the top of the heel and I think that if the stretchy material used on the Pace were put on the Lithe, that might solve the problem.I am on the fence about keeping these because I can feel the contours around my ankle and think that there is potential for blisters.The color is great great, however.

I bought these about 6 weeks before vacation for the express purpose of going on some trails with them.Took the time to break them in to be sure that I wouldn''t have any problem.A couple of key things I''ve learned about these shoes.Firstly, the description says that the shoe has a fabric upper for breathability and has been dipped into a solution which makes the shoe odor resistant.Please take it from me, this shoe does not breathe and will make your feet sweat.I''ve never had any issues with my shoes having odors except for this pair -a day of wearing them in the summer weather and you will feel the wetness of your feet, compound that over a few weeks and you will want to keep these shoes outside because they will stink.Secondly, this shoe does have good traction for trails -dirt, rocks, asphalt are all fine.Where this shoe critically fails at is when you step on something metal; like, a metal grate on a trail used for draining water out of a low area.As soon as your foot hits somewhat damp metal, it may as well be Teflon you are stepping on.I was coming down a mountain trail in Japan when I stepped on a grate and completely fell injuring myself.I couldn''t understand what could be the problem until later when I was back in the city and stepped on a man hole cover.. no traction what so ever.I expected more out of both Merrell and Vibram with regards to this shoe.

I admit I was disappointed when I tried my new Merrell Barefoot Lithe Gloves on.I wear nothing but shoes which can be called true "bare foot" technology. I wear a solid size 9 and these are really tight thru the arch(wraps around the foot like a glove) and heel.The toe box is roomy enough but I can only wear a thin sock with them.The way the sole wraps around the arch and corresponding top portion of your foot actually does force support to your arch which is bad in my book.I do not buy shoes with arch support as I have well developed arch muscles and this doesn''t feel good on my foot. That is a key point of buying and using "bare foot" shoes. Additionally, the way the shoe is constructed, I can not really feel the ground when I plant my foot like I am used to (i.e. Vibram 5 Fingers or Terraplanna Barefoot shoes).The soles are too rigid, they should be flexible. I am hoping the shoe upper "stretches out" a bit.That being said, it is a nice looking shoe and appears to be well constructed.I am going to have to ''break'' them in and and wear them for a while until they are comfortable enough for everyday usage.If that happens I might buy another pair in the future.If not, well.......no, back to the Terraplanna''s for everyday.

This sandal is very cushiony and comfortable. Maybe the most comfortable I''ve ever worn in all my years. The fact that I didn''t even have to adjust the size when it arrived was a good omen.

The heel is the perfect height and the shoe is very pretty but I had to return it.When I tried it on the silver t-strap hurt the top of my foot.

I love this shoe. IT is a great shoe to wear with pants or skirts. And, you will be noticed!! My only complaint is that I wish the heel were a little lower. This would make the shoe more comfortable!!
