I love Sam Edelman''s sandals, so I thought I would love these booties, too. The arch seems a little high, and the lack of a platform makes them a bit painful to walk in, probably not the best shopping/stand-in-them-all-day shoe. I ordered these in black originally, and was a little hesitant about how good the quality, comfort and style would be. The moment they arrived, I fell in love with them before even trying them on! So after wearing the black pair around quite a bit and getting tons of compliments on them, I ordered another pair in Juma. The quality of the leather is impeccable, the styling is so original but still classic, and the height is perfect too. I usually wear a size 7.5, and the 7.5 fits perfectly. I walked in the city in these for 8-10 hours at a time and have never felt more comfortable! They are somewhat cushioned and have a thick wedge, so they provide great support. It''s also easy to dress up or down any outfit with these I plan to live in these 2 pairs all summer long!
Remember the late eighties and early nineties when Goth was cool and we had awesome Doc Martin''s, these shoes remind me of that time while still being a fresh retro take.The size was true and the construction was high quality.The soles are awesome with a wicked picture in the tread.The one complaint is that if you are walking through someplace quiet like a library or museum they do make a bit of noise with all of the metal on them.

Timberland 50061 Newbuck Chukka is the same as this black chukka. This is THE most comfortable and lightweight all around no BS boot I''ve ever worn. There''s no Thinsulate but it is very water "Proof" I''m sure you don''t want to walk into a pool with them but again, they are great boots Make sure you get the 50061 they have a lighter sole than the other Timberland boots less "Beefy" I use them for work and for the gym as well. Just all around the best boots I''ve ever worn. For Deep snow I would say get an 8'' at least boot but for hiking, gym, work from CA to NY the 50061 is great. The new buck gets dirty fast so get 2 pair. One for beating on and one for going out "styling" if you will. Again, very light weight, true to size can''t beat em for under $100.00. Great for landscaping, hunting, you name it. If you need severe cold weather you may try something with an Insulate if not these are the best boots ever made.
