In this flip flop world, sometimes a bit of style is a good thing.The J-41s are a nice compromise between an athletic sandal and a foot killing heel.They have a bit of bling built into the straps, but it''s not too much--just an occasional eye-catching sparkle.They''re extremely comfortable.My only complaint is that the 8 is a tiny bit too big for my 7.5-8 foot, but I think the 7.5 would be too short.The olive color is a light neutral color that looks great with summer oranges, yellows, khakis and tans, and the style is perfect for pants, dresses and skirts.I''m very pleased!
This is a really "hot" sandal (I have it in burnt orange) but:
1. It runs small; get it half size larger, most probably.
2. The beaded and sequined toe straps are sexy as heck. However, they are also stiff and thick as heck, and may put a lot of pressure on your little toes. No idea why they did this in the toe straps; it certainly doesn''t seem necessary at all.
3. The ankle strap with Velcro is wonderful, but quite long and you will have a hard time making it shorter, as there is a no-Velcro area that is limited, and that seems to be the length of the area the strap will allow adjustment. In my case, this isn''t enough, but I''m hanging on to them for their sheercuteness and sexiness.
4. The platform is great perfect height if you want to be "almost flat but not quite" yet look like you have on a higher-heeled shoe. And the zingy pattern that is on it and under it is terrific!
So -bottom line: use your own judgment!

These shoes are comfortable and true to size.The "olive green" is not quite olive, but close enough. . .The velcro ankle strap is easy. . .I like them enough to probably buy them in another color.J-41 / Jambu shoes rock!

I just got these shoes today and they are awesome!I was concerned based on the mixed reviews that the toe box and to straps would be loose and/or stiff; however, I am pleased to say that these shoes are a perfect fit.I am a solid 7.5 medium.Occasionally I can wear some sandals in a 7.This sandal is true to size.The toe straps are indeed a bit loose as other reviewers have mentioned but the footbed cushion is so cushy and molds to your foot that there is not sliding around in the toe box.The heel strap is a bit loose but it keeps the back of the shoe from slapping your heel and making that noise.The heel and ankle straps also do not at all cut into your skin.The front ankle strap is adjustable velcro but is well concealed.Although all the straps are somewhat loose your foot feels secure walking in the shoe and there is no foot sliding.I''ve only had them a day but do not anticipate getting blisters in these and the fit feels totally secure AND comfy.I plan to take these on a trip to a conference where I will do a lot of indoor and outdoor city walking and will post an update.I would guess that someone with wide feet would be comfy in these also.I had considered ordering a half size down based on some of the reviews but am glad I did not.One half size down would have been too short and the toe straps probably would have been too snug.The look of the shoe is fabulous.It looks totally hot and looks very high end.I feel very stable walking in these too.They have great height but the platform makes your foot feel flat and comfy.The nude color is great.I wore them with black pants and they went very well.I had expected them to look "too light" and to clash with dark/black pants but they looked great and were very dressy.This is my 3rd pair of J-41/Jambus and definitely won''t be the last.If these came in a black version i would get them again.
These shoes are trendy, comfortable and stylish. My 15 year old daughter has "borrowed" them several times so I bought her a pair too.
