I have been looking for a sandal type shoe with a smallish heal for years now.Comfy, but dressy possible.There used to be one by Mephisto which I loved but was discontinued.So, this shoe had a legacy to live up to.The shoe is nice looking, the heel is just the right height, comfy and awesome price!I saw these for over 100$ other places.The shipping took a while, but it was free.It might be nice to know what the expected arrival day was before ordering, but still a great shoe and great deal.

I was pleased to find these closed toe espadrilles on Amazon as I''m looking for something that is cool and summery, but more professional that open-toed sandals for work. (Am I the only one who thinks toes at work aren''t formal enough, even in a casual workplace where pants and khakis are the norm?)These fit the billI have a similar Navy Blue pair from Adrienne Vittadini that did not come in black.The design fot those, also for sale here on Amazon, is almost identical, and they were a bargain find at T.J. Maxx.Here on Amazon I paid a good $20 more, but the quality is not as good.The shoes look greatthe charcoal color actually looks a little darker than is pictured.And they will be very versatile.However, the padding in the footbed is pretty minimal and a day of walking had me wondering if I could conceal some Dr. Sholl''s gel insoles in them!There isn''t much shock absorbsion.That being said, they are still much better for a comfort shoe than some spiky stilleto.If color does not matter to yougo for the Adrienne Vittadini shoes as opposed to this model.I wonder if they weren''t both made from the same design at the same Chinese factory...

These are excellent flip flops, and their fabric-like material is far more comfortable than either plastic or leather in my opinion. They have good arch support and can be used for hours without foot pain. I am a little worried about how long they will last, however, as I had a similar pair of Clarke sandals in which the fabric under my foot started peeling in less than a year. After 2 months no problems.

These shoes have very quickly turned into one of my favorite pairs of shoes. i was very skeptical of getting these types of shoes but it turned out to be completely unfounded as soon as i used them the first time. They are completely comfortable even for me who uses a wide width shoe. awesome. would reccomend to anyone. I have also not had any slips with this as one usually has with dress shoes.

not as subtle as i wouldve hoped. a little too bold looking, as it does not look authentic in real life, like it does on the picture. too bad. otherwise a fantastic shoe. somewhat tight, so perhaps order up a half size.But, within 3mo, the leather sole started to pull away from the shoe.I took to a cobbler who re-stitched and glued them.Within 2 months the entire leather sole under the toe of the shoe had completely pulled away, and I am frustrated because I do not want to keep paying to have them ''fixed''.
These shoes are not ''inexpensive'' if they were I would not bother writing this review.I expected a high quality from them for two reasons: 1) The Frye name and my history with this brand, and, 2) the price is at a level where I feel that I should expect a quality product.

I get a lot of compliments on the shoes.Even the shoe repair guy thinks they are cool looking.The leather is stiff so I have some calluses on the back of my heal.AND yes, they do fit.I had them recheck the fit at a store. They take awhile to break in.To break them in quicker: YOU can just take them to a shoe repair and have them pound out the back of the shoe and then put a 1/4 lift in the back of the shoe to stop the irritation on the achilles tendon.Nice leather and the whitewash wax (aging) isn''t a big deal..put them on and wear them around (it wears off fast and they look old by the time it wears off).They will look awesome!

I have tried several pairs of wedges over the past few weeks and these look and feel the best of the bunch. I run between a 7.5 and 8, and I got the 8 and they fit well. In the photo the bands look like they will be stretchy, but the backing is leather, so they are not. If your feet are not narrow, might be good to go to the larger size. The soles are this nice soft felt material. Very comfortable.I wear a size 8 and my feet are not particularly narrow.I purchased a size 8 and it fits absolutely perfectly.I''m thinking of picking up a second identical pair since it can be so hard to find comfortable shoes that don''t look like something my grandma would wear.

They felt great for the first week of wearing them but that was it.The straps across the top that are supposed to hold your foot in place, loosened after about a week of wear.The end result is that you walk around with curled toes, in an attempt to stop your feet sliding forward.By the end of the day my feet were totally sore from the effort.These shoes look really cute on but that''s it.They are not in the least bit functional.A total waste of my money. I ordered my usual size 6 and it fits me well. I''m not really a high heel person (even wedges). The highest shoes I have is 3.5" high. 4.5" seems to be a lot more different than I expected.Although the padding is quite thick, these sandals are not comfortable to walk in. I can certainly wear 3" high wedges with no problem, but with these ones, which are equivalent to 3", if considering the platform, I struggled a lot while walking around a shopping mall and eventually I got a blister on my sole near the big toe.
It is beautiful and well made. The leather is soft and even without any elastics, the shoe doesn''t scratch anywhere. Just the angle of the sole is wrong.. I think. These seem to create an awkward way of walking. hmm.. Too bad.
If you are expecting Aerosole comfort, keep looking. This is not. Or go for slightly lower heels.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. They''re lightweight and yet strong and substantial. I think they look good on his feet also. They do run about a half size large. My husband wears a size 10 and they''re a little too long -he''s keeping them though because he feels a size smaller will be too small. It is a little difficult getting his foot in the sandals (kind of tight) and the Velcro fastener is somewhat short. So not perfect, but still a very nice, high quality sandal.The sandals are very comfortable but the adjustable Velcro back-strap is designed poorly.The sandals fit properly on my foot and the there is full contact with the Velcro, there just isn''t enough Velcro area so they come undone a lot.

So I ordered a size 13 of these shoes and they arrived timely as I always expect from Amazon. However, when I tried to slip them on they barely fit and hurt my feet. I immediately removed them and sent them back. Every other shoe I wear is a size 13, but it appears I would need a 13.5 or 14 men in order to have these shoes fit. Consumers may want to make note of this and try a half size or full size larger to compensate.Firstly, I already owned a pair of similar shoes in white.I like to walk a lot, and these were extremely comfortable and durable.So I decided to try this pair in black to use in the gym, especially on my weight lifting days.I really love the the width of the bottom of the shoe.This really provides great balance and stability when I''m doing squats or dead lifts.
Secondly, while these are black Skechers, with a big white S on the side, they look slightly different than the picture.The picture seems more gray than black, and the three dark stripes that run from the top to the bottom of the shoe aren''t on mine.I do like the way mine look though, and I love the fit.I wear them with a pair of black/gray Gold Toe socks, which just show about a half inch out of the shoe.Just high enough so the back of the shoe isn''t on my achilles.
I am definitely a big fan of Skechers now, they fit my slightly wide foot much better than the more expensive Nikes or New Balance.Each of which I have tried.

I have used sketchers for many years and they always used to have a good durable product. But I bought two pair of Skechers Men''s Stamina Nuovo Sneakers for the gym and they started having problems in the first few weeks. First the stitching at the front of the shoe that holds the rubber on fell apart, letting the rubber toe of the shoe flop around(I had to glue it back on for a short term fix) thenthe loops that the shoe laces are run through started unraveling and coming out of the shoe, making lacing the shoe impossible! this happened on both pairs of my black Skechers Men''s Stamina Nuevo Sneakers. I also have a grey pair and a blue pair. that have been unaffected by these problems. It seems that Skechers is not keeping up on quality control as much as they used to. that''s too bad this used to be a great company (they used to give you a second pair of laces when you bought shoes) it sucks that they have quit that practice also.
now I have to start looking for a new cross training shoe company that can produce a product that lasts more than a few weeks!!!!!!
