Born Women''s Astrid Sandal

I bought two pair, this one, and the Turquoise.I have been wearing this pair for the last three weeks.They are very comfortable. Today I noticed they were both coming apart at the stitching.I just recently saw a Sewing Awl for about $5.00.I should have bought it. I haven''t worn the Turquoise yet.

First of all, born makes the greatest shoes in the world. years and years ago, i used to try them on all the time because they felt so good, like your feet were getting a big hug... but i never bought them because they were ugly. in recent years, they have started making cuter and cuter shoes and this one rates high in cuteness. it is also the VERY first pair of sandals i''ve owned that goes between my toes. i have never been able to stand that before. these are great trainers for that as the leather across the instep has elastic and helps hold your foot in place so the skin between your toes doesn''t take it all on. it is also the only flat sandal i can wear for any length of time. i''ve been told the reason i need my heel elevated is because i''ve got extremely high arches and flats give me backaches. born supports my arch enough that i do not have trouble wearing these shoes all day long. i love born and i love this sandal. i bought myself a spare pair for when my current ones wear out and i bought them for my mom (also a between the toes newbie) too. she LOVES them, and of course they are absolutely darling.

Born is a wonderful product and so well constructed. I love Born shoes and own several pairs.The only reason this is not a five star purchase is because of the color.To me they are not really pink but more of a dark mauve.I bought them to wear with hot pink capris and shorts but the shoe color is all wrong.....but they work with other clothes I have so I kept them.

These shoes are beautiful, but they were too small for me.The footbed is a little narrow and my feet are wide.Otherwise, a really nice sandal.
