Born Women''s Aruba Sandal

Born Women''s Aruba Sandals - Australe 6In most ways I am delighted with these sandals. They are indeed retro, very similiar to the low slope comfortable sandals we wore in the seventies. Those shoes were exceedingly comfortable, lengthened the leg line, and looked perfect with every kind of outfit, especially with a mini-dress ~ a short A-line shift ~ which really requires a chunky shoe of this type.

The mini-dress is here again ~ a dress that looks wonderful on every type of figure. These shoes are perfect for that look.

There is only one flaw in them. The line of the big toe, instead of going staight ahead in line with the shoe, thus creating a broad toe in line with the design of the entire shoe, curves sharply inward creating a rather pointed toe which is totally out of harmony with the entire design of the shoe and

is a constant source of low level pain which interferes with graceful walking and keeps your mind on your big toes instead of on being lovely, flirtatious, and fabulous.

I am keeping them because they are the closest I can find to what I am really looking for to wear with my new spring outfits, but oh, what a shame, when these shoe could so easily been perfection itself.
