If the only criteria for a great sandal was looks, I''d give this pair 5 stars.This shoe is definitely a classy, edgy beauty.LOVE the look!

The leather however is really really hard, particularly in the forefoot, and the ankle strap doesn''t allow any adjustment (no buckle, etc).IMO the "leather upper" doesn''t really look like leather.Not a jaw-dropping leather quality either, IMO.The sole is true-to-size for me (8.5), but the ankle strap has two problems:a)The elastic in it is quite short, so there is only a little "give" in the whole strap (therefore if your foot isn''t the perfect length, you''re hooped in terms of ankle fit!);and b)The whole strap is far too loose for my foot, so within a couple of steps, the straps slipped off my ankles.

At more than 50% off though, this was a great deal.I plan to get the ankles strap shortened overall, with a new and longer elastic inserted @ my shoemakers to allow more "give" while walking, and I also plan to only wear these when limited walking is required.

A great shoe to look pretty in, as long as you don''t have to walk far.Sorry N.Y.L.A.:I''m underwhelmed with everything except the look of this shoe!

NYLA has done an amazing job, the heels just look expensive. They''re gorgeous!! I recommend going a half size down, otherwise, I see the slingback being a tad loose. They are absolutely stunning and will be perfect to wear with jeans, leggings or a dress. I have the black ones, but will be getting the nude color as well!
