When they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to discover the ''rope look'' on the wedge heel which gives it an appropriately stylish West Indian touch and a few folks have complemented me on my unusual find. There''s a lot less struggling with strapping yourself in since the hook that keeps the straps in place around the ''faux buckle'' is tight enough to do a great and secure job without any ''cutting'' or chaffing at the tendons. I guess it''s because the material of the sandals itself is relatively soft.
Also, there isn''t any ''rubbing'' or annoying slipping at the sole of the feet so I don''t get feet burns when wearing them for lengthy periods, but the padding is still soft enough to make walking comfortable. I doubt I''d be limping in these after an entire day of wear. Even so, I wouldn''t test fate by walking a mile and a half in them to test them out !!
Unfortunately owing to my somewhat flat feet the sandal doesn''t fit the arch of my feet as perfectly as my old pair. However, this doesn''t make wearing them unduly uncomfortable and certainly haven''t deterred me from wearing them frequently (i.e.) a least once a week!! Maybe I''ll try putting in an inner sole or something to see if that will solve this slight problem by adding more arch support ... Or maybe not...
Either way, I''m pretty happy with these my feet aren''t in pain and they look cute !! ;)
