Dr. Scholl''s Women''s Jamie Lace-Up

Dr. Scholl''s Women''s Jamie Lace Up Sneaker,Navy/Orange,11 M USI love sneakers. When I''m not in my work heels or flip-flops, I live in my sneakers. Up till now, I''ve only worn sneakers by Converse because they just look so darn cute. Then I spotted these Jamie sneakers in a magazine one day and it was love at first sight. Believe it or not, I was so faithful to my Converse sneakers that I took 4 months just to think about purchasing these, even though my ratty old sneakers were falling apart.

No regrets whatsoever. These are da bomb! They are so comfortable and light and I absolutely love that I can just slip in and out of them. It can be hard to notice in the picture, but the laces are really just for show. You slip into these and then forget about it.

Purchasing shoes online can be a tricky business because my usually size 5 feet sometimes fit more comfortably into size 7 boots or size 6 heels; it''s so hard to tell. So when I ordered these in the smallest size 6, I was delighted to find that they fit perfectly. And they''re so light! Did I mention that they''re light? I''m even thinking of purchasing another pair just in case of whatever.

Well done, Dr Scholl! It looks like I can finally put my old sneakers to rest now.

I wanted to like these shoes so badly! When they arrived I was so pleased to see that they looked just as described here online. When I slid my feet into them, I was super excited about how cozy and comfy they were, and the fit was perfect (they are true to size). But then I started walking. As cozy as they were, they turned my ankles inward with each step. If it was just a slight turn of the ankle, I would have been tempted to put up with it for how cute and comfy these shoes are, but it was really a significant turn/roll inward. Had to return them.

Ok, I fell for the "barefoot concept". I bought into the idea that wearing a minimalist shoe might strengthen my feet.

Bad move. I bought two pairs of these for my casual everyday shoes. Within 4 months, I had developed a heel spur and damaged ankle ligaments. These shoes have ZERO support for any part of the foot. They are basically a sock with a rubber sole.

Also, within two months, the insole on pair had broken.

I salvaged my shoes by replacing the insoles with strong arch-supporting ones. But I wouldn''t buy these again unless I found them on a deep enough discount to justify that extra expense. I am still suffering from the injuries I incurred with these shoes.

The only positive things I can say about these shoes is that they are cute and machine washable.

After gaining weight during pregnancy and needing a larger more comfortable shoe, I tried the Jamie sneaker. I have never owned a pair of Dr. Scholl''s shoes or any other type of "comfort shoe" because I couldn''t understand the concept of sacrificing fashion for comfort... pregnancy has a way of rearranging your priorities! Luckily, with this shoe I don''t feel like I am sacrificing too much because the style is very cute! The updated Dr. Scholl''s Women''s Jennie Oxford Lace-Ups model looks even cuter! I can''t wait to buy a pair of those too.

The shoe is a slip on and the laces are just for show, which I like because it looks "normal" but does not require tying laces, which during pregnancy is a chore. I don''t care for so much white rubber on the toe because I thought it would make the shoe look too juvenile, but it is really not that bad when on.

Living in New York is hell on my feet, and these shoes are a godsend. I am walking on marshmallows. One bit of advice though, since the opening of the shoe has an elastic band, it can cause some rubbing if you don''t have dainty ankles. If you don''t plan on wearing socks with these, you might want to break them in a little first.

It''s a nice shoe, and a fun shoe to wear. Despite this, I''m returning it. My instep is too high for the opening. Not the fault of the shoe.
