I have wider feet and a high instep.I can count on Keens to fit and be comfortable every time, without fail.I ordered my usual size 9.5, and couldn''t wait to get them! They arrived, and the anticipation of putting them on my feet for the first time was over the top.I just have horrible luck with shoes fitting my instep and width.I slipped them on, and like a glove, right over my instep, and straight in!Not tight, nothing.I was thrilled!!After some yoga-like moves that would befuddle the most flexible contortionist, I got them buckled around my ankle. And again like a glove made for the foot PERFECT.But then..... I walked. After about 2 or 3 steps, my heels slid right out the back when I lifted my foot, and when I stepped down again, my little toes sprung through the openings at the side, and then the shoe jammed between my toes.I raised my feet behind me one by one, gave each a good shake to free up my pinky toes, and the shoe settled back into place, but as soon as I took another step it happened again.I would do anything for love, but I won''t do that.Alas, it was not meant to be.I lovingly packed the shoes back into their box, and will be returning them.I gave this shoe 3 stars because the look of the shoe, and the quality is what we expect from Keen but if the stars were based on functional design alone, these shoes would get zero.Bummer.It was an extremely brief ill-fated love affair with The City Of Roses Cutout Sandal. It just wasn''t meant to be.Read Best Reviews of Keen Women''s City of Roses Cutout Sandal Here
Usually the sizing is OK.I have learned that I need to always order a half size larger, but with these, I miscalculated. They were way too big and was too afraid to try to order a smaller size.I loved the look and was disappointed that they didn''t work.
