Clarks Women''s Trophy Prize Slingback Sandal

My mom suffers with constant pain in her feet and poor circulation which affects her ability to be on her feet for a very long time.She however, will not wear medical shoes because she is still a very active woman and needs to look a little above casual when she''s out.I researched these shoes by Clarks and knew that these were the ones made for her lifestyle.They are a bit above casual and can be worn with slacks, dresses and dressy shorts.She cannot walk in a flat sandal therefore this is a ''perfect'' heel height that works well for her foot & leg problem.I tried them on and walked around with them and I could feel the arch support right under my arch. If your foot is quite thick you would purchase a wide width. These to me are a true fit

but if you find the straps on any Clarks shoe are a little too snug just pour some rubbing alcohol on them, walk around and they will stretch a little and dry quicklydon''t use water! We love them. Thanks!

This shoe looks pretty nice and has a wonderful wedge with great arch support.Since I have a very deep arch, most shoes feel to me like they were made for flat footed people.Not these, they hug the arch beautifully.

The sole has really good, buttery padding, but this is where the problems begin.The sewn on padded label on top of the padding is absurd.How did Clark''s come up with something this bulky and uncomfortable in a comfort shoe?It would have been just as effective to print the label on, rather than sewing on a padded patch of leather, making it chafe the heel.This is a very annoying addition to the shoe, although I think I already said this about the other trophy shoe I bought from Clarks.

The shoe also feels narrower than a medium shoe usually feels, but being that it is all leather, I believe in time I can break it in.

All in all a nice shoe, specially at Amazon prices.If I had to pay full price for a shoe with such an uncomfortable heel, I may not be happy at all.

UPDATE:I was never able to break the shoe in.I tried everything; shoe stretch liquid, spraying alcohol, dipping them in a bucket of hot water, inserting wooden shoe stretchers...yes, that''s right, all of those things!!!So now I have shoes that are faded from all the crazy stuff I did trying to soften them and they are still hard as a whip and so narrow I can''t keep them on for more than five seconds.Blah!Anyone like a free pair of unused, tortured shoes in 6.5 (supposedly)?....I''ll send them to you FREE!

The shoes are not that comfortable.The strap across the top of the foot hurts.I can not werar them if I am going to be on my feet a lot.Dissapointed, usually Clarks are very comfortable.

Bought these shoes because the they looked so cute. The upper of the shoes feel hard and like plastic instead of leather. I would have had blisters in no time wearing these. Soles were very comfy but I had to return them.
