Size up 1/2 size. I almost always fit an 8.5 in sandals/shoes, but my heel was hanging off the edge of these. I bought these because they looked like a comfortable, but still fashionable and streamlined sandal to wear with skirts and dresses. Unfortunately they look more hippie and clunky than I wanted due to the thickness of the straps and the width of the forefoot. The fit is also odd. The foodbed at the front is wide, but the straps are not. The wider footbed gives them that clunky look, but then even if you do have wide forefoot, the straps are gonna be too snug. I imagine they would stretch a little though. I was also diappointed in the quality of the leather. It was stiff, and in the silver pair I tried, the leather was already creased and the silver was coming off the end of the strap already. I tried them in 3 colors the gray and the black didn''t seem to have that flakey leather problem. Overall, I''d say, get these if you like the hippie, birkenstock vibe, size up, and avoid the metallics.
I personally find these sandals very flattering. I have them in brown and love them they are my fav. I had to order a half size up as they run small.
