To start, being available in 4E width is a plus as not many boots are available in that width. It''s certainly waterproof, but if you''re walking through snow expect the boots to pick up a lot. You''ll certainly want to knock your boots before going back indoors. Additionally, they keep my feet warmer than my sneakers do, but you''ll still feel the cold when it drops below 10°F, from my experience. They''re comfortable; I''ve walked 20 minutes straight in them up and down hills and my feet feel fine, but I don''t do all-day standing in them so I can''t comment on that.

As for some minor details, they ship with rather long laces, so you might want to relace them. Also, at least with my wide feet, you''ll have to unlace the boots down to the eyelets to easily get your feet out. They are certainly not slip-ons in any way. While they stay on tight, you may still occasionally have your socks bunch up a little, so you might want to wear tighter socks if you plan on tucking your pants into the boots as won''t be easy to just pull them up at that point.

Overall, they''re a good buy, but if you''re looking for cold weather boots you might want to look for a different pair specifically list for the temperature range you''ll be in.

I bought two pairs!!I am still wearing my first pair, and they are used daily.I cut wood, and work on cars(outside) with these bad @#$! boots. These are the best boots I have ever owned.
