Ah, the Okabashi WEAVE. This is my dream sandal, my ideal house slipper year-round, and my summer footwear for out-of-doors. Do not be fooled by the flat, undersized TORINO model (vid. my review) the WEAVE is your genuine article, the old Okabashi you remember from back in the day!
Since I''ve been a dedicated, loyal "Okabashiist" since the 1980s, I am sad at the slight decline in the quality of these superb sandals, molded from a type of rubber that will have your feet singing with joy. Once they were mighty and lasted forever; I thought I''d be buried with my original dark brown sandals or the black pair I used as house slippers.
Today, that quality is somewhat diminished. Take heart: unless you are a thong-sandal freak or into leather, this sandal is the last sandal you''ll ever wear with glee in your feet and a spring in your step. Get ''em here or hunt for them at your local pharmacy (even grocery stores carry them in summer).
A note about the product: this particular size and color shows as unavailable. Do a search and see what is available, because often, Amazon puts rather inaccurate things under the product listing. Bear in mind that in this case, they only ran out of this size and color.
Get yourself some Okabashis if you''ve never worn them. If you have worn them, why are you waiting to buy your back-up pair?!
