Dance Class T100 Flexible Tap Shoe (Toddler/Little Kid)

These are the 2nd pair of children''s tap shoes I''ve ever purchased. When they arrived I immediately compared them to my daughter''s original pair. These are not nearly as well made. 1st the interior of her old Bloch shoes consist of a cotton fabric lining (essentially a "sock",) with a thick & cushy footbed. These new ones are lined with cheap coated foam, which is quite thin. The interior vertical lining surrounding the heel looks/feels like paper or cardboard. Also with these "Dance Class" shoes the metal pieces on the bottom, aka the "taps," are much smaller in surface area & thinner than her old shoes. With this new shoe the toe tap is bolted directly on to the textured surface of the sole. In contrast, her old shoe is constructed with a bed for the tap, and it makes for much more stable walking/dancing, IMO, bc the sole of the shoe and the tap are in better alignment when it comes to making contact with the floor.Also the bottom of these new shoes actually have a sort of inexplicable lump in the center, which you can see and feel when you run your fingers across the bottom. In summary, I am disappointed. I did pay a little more for her old shoes, maybe $5 or at most $7 more. I didn''t know it at the time, but the Bloch''s were well worth the extra money. I will keep this new pair, after all she only wears these 30 minutes a week, then for her recital. But I will not buy this brand again for next year.

I was looking for tap shoes that used the ribbon instead of a thick shoe string.I don''t know what it is about the ribbon but it makes these little shoes look so much more danitier.They are adorable.They appear to be true to size. If you are concerned, order a half of size larger.It is not necessary to go up one full shoe size.

We have had these shoes for a couple of months now, and they are working out nicely. They are true to size, and seem to be comfortable. My 4 year old hasn''t complained once about them.

This is the second pair of dance shoes we have purchased for our daughter.These are nice because they flex and it makes it easier for some of the dance moves they do in class.A decent shoe for the price.
