Had them for 3 weeks and have barely taken them off.Finally a sandal which provides significant arch support.With shoes, insoles can always be worn, but not so with sandals.For my taste there could even be a bit more support in the arch, and also a bump in the mid-foot just before the toe mounds.They seems to be quite durable.Related to the other review if you plan to walk 5k, it is probably best to put on walking/running shoes, with or without insole.That being said, I am sure I have walked at least 5k with my new sandals, and no problems.

I like the concept of a strapped sandal with built-in arch support ( Vionic by Orthaheel Men''s Boyes Sandals ) and thought this would be a great product, but I encountered two problems. The overlap of the hooks and loops of the straps were insufficient and I had trouble with the strap releasing without warning, which could lead to tripping or twisting an ankle. The second item is that I have a heal spur and find shoes that are soft and spongy at the heal much more confortable. In spite of the small, softer (than the surrounding sole) pad, of four pairs of shoes that I normally wear, including a pair of Orthaheel slip-ons, I found these the least comfortable to my heel. As a result, I returned them.

My sandals arrived timely. They are comfotable. I enjoy walking in them for casual activities. When I tried to wear them for a 5 mile walk they were very painful and my feet hurt. Obviously, they are not intended for serious walking. I may return them if I feel the need to use sandals for any distance walking.
