La Canadienne Women''s Kloe Knee-High Boot

At long last, I received my Kloe''s yesterday. It''s my first pair of La Canadienne''s and now that I have them, I know they will not be the last. I''ve been waiting for months for them to go on sale and Amazon did not let me down. They are still selling for full price on some sites, and for only about 25% off on others, but Amazon has them for much lower.

I am very late coming to the La Canadienne game I just discovered them over the holidays while looking for boots online. Since they routinely get wonderful reviews for craftsmanship, comfort, and style, I couldn''t wait to have a pair of my own.

When you touch them, it''s very apparent they are made of the highest quality Italian materials. The suede on these boots is so... I want to say ''soft'' but that''s not the right word maybe supple is the word? If it was material on a dress, you would say it has a beautiful drape. You have to feel it and have it in your hand to truly appreciate it. It''s hard to believe these boots are waterproof because they feel so nice; not stiff at all. They''ll get the true test when I wear them to work today, as we are expecting at least 2" of rain.

The shape is great they fit wonderfully through the ankle, such that they have a nice curvy shape instead of one big blob above your foot. Yeah for full length zippers!

I had read on various sites that this particular style runs a bit big, and that is correct. Even though my closet has sizes from 6 to 8 1/2 in different kinds of shoes and boots, I usually get an 8 in boots when I order them online. I ordered a 7 1/2 in the Kloe and they are perfect.

They also come fully up to my knee and not one millimeter lower. I like that.

Now, I''m already planning for my next pair of La Canadienne''s.

La Canadienne makes absolutely beautiful boots. These are lovely also, but the fit isn''t as comfortable, for my feet, as other of their styles. I fell in love with their Kara boots, and bought two pair of them (black and brown), instead of the Kloe. Both are highly similar in appearance (very plain), but fit quite differently.

However, you need to try them on to determine which style is the most comfortable, for you.

No matter which style you select, you will not be disappointed by the unmistakeable quality of La Canadienne, made in Montreal, Canada, of course!
