I bought my first pair of Skechers Shape Ups well over a year ago to use as work shoes.While I never noticed a change in my weight or muscle tone, they certainly improve my posture and made work much more bearable.I work retail and after being on my feet for 8 hours wearing these shoes and at the end of the day my feet and knees still feel okay.My old pair finally wore out a couple months ago and I happily bought a new pair.They''re fantastic!

Sketchers Shape Ups are great shoes. I own three pairs of them because they are so comfortable, but this pair disappointed.The shoe fits perfectly but the narrow strap on them attaches with cheap velcro. The first time I wore them there were no problems.The fourth time I wore them the strap on one of the shoes would come undone every so often while walking.After only a few more outtings I find I cannot get either strap to stay attached and even taking one step will cause it to pull apart so that the strap flaps around like an untied shoelace.They are now entirely impractical to wear. If the strap attached with a snap or if were permanently affixed with some elastic in the strap to give them stretch to take on and off they would get 5 stars...

it is now Sept 2011, a year later, I have a black and brown pair, no strap problem!

This was my 4th pair of Sketcher Shap Ups. Can''t say enough good about them. Best shoe ever! I have been wearing the Shape Ups for over a year now. Got my first pair May 2009. I have knee problems (cartlidge damage, arthritis, kneecap wired together)and when I wear the Shape Up my knee hurst less at the end of the day! If I wear another shoe, my knee hurts so bad at the end of the day I can barely walk.

I agree that the comfort of the Shape Up is unmatched in any shoe I''ve ever had.However, on this style, I agree that the straps are terrible.They do often come undone, unless you line up the Velcro PERFECTLY and don''t do anything like kneel down.Just stupid.They look nice enough for office casual, which is why I bought them.

I purchased these shoes after buying a pair of thongs(sorry flip flops!) in Big W (I am in Australia) that were a generic brand that had made their own shape up type shoes. I put these Skechers on as soon as they arrived and have not taken them off!

I have kidney failure and have neuropathy in my feet. I would come home from work with burning, painful feet. I would experience pain and burning all day and no shoes or inner sole I tried made them feel less painful. I even had orthotics made with no success!

I love these shoes and have been walking much more and actually enjoy walking now. They are extremely comfortable and feel like you are walking on air. I work as a social worker and I am on my feet all day I now have no worries about this. I would highly recommend these shoes and have not stopped telling people about them!!

I have even bought another pair and am eyeing a pair of boots for winter!!
