I''ve owned a pair of Magnum work shoes for over two years. I quit the job that required them, yet I still wore them as my everyday shoes because they were so comfortable. The foot/arch support is great and keeps me from experiencing heel pain better than any inserts I''ve tried with other shoes. I instantly notice the lack of support when I put on a different brand of shoes.

Although, the Magnums I already have are still going strong after all this time, I''ve been wanting a pair of black shoes for a while now. When I got these in they met or exceeded all my expectations. I opened the box and even the packaging gave me the impression that I bought a really excellent pair of footwear. I put them on, and I experienced the same comfort and perfect fit as with the other pair. I chose this pair over the other Magnum options because I thought these looked the best, and they certainly look as good as they do in all the pictures.

For work or just for everyday use, I definitely recommend getting these or any of Magnum''s other options.

I have worn this boot since 2005 or so. I wear them 5 or 6 days a week. 5 of those are 10 hours. they are lightweight and comfortable and look nice shined up. good arch support too. very little break-in needed. they last a long time so buy another pair of laces when you buy the boots. the laces will wear out before the boots will and the original laces are best. I always double tie my boots as they can come untied due to slippery laces. weird, but buy them anyway.

This is my 9th pair of magnums over the last 8+ years. I work in EMS and in all kinds of weather. These boots are more comfortable than sneakers, waterproof, and very durable. Probably my favorite feature is they stop my feet from sweating in the very hot weather.

I never bought 6" boots before, not really my liking. In the cold weather they are very nice, but when it warms up just seems that is way too much shoe. Feels heavy to me. I do work outdoors in Florida, so after this light cold we have I won''t wear these again till next winter. I would not purchase these again.

These boots are comfortable... for the first mile.After the second mile my heels began to hurt.Not a problem I thought, there is a break in period.I walked about 5 miles the first day.The second day I simply was not able to wear the boots.My blisters were huge.I waited 2 days until I tried them again.After the first mile, I was limping.I took the boots off and looked inside: the heel area has a large stitched seem that runs down the middle/back of the boot.This stitching is raised and was irritating my blisters.After only some 6 miles, the material had begun to become worn/rubbed off the inside of one boot and was well on its way in the second.And before you scream that I purchased the wrong size, I have worn the same size shoe and boot for 30 years.I know my shoe size!The boots fit my foot perfectly.

The problem, after a quick look at the inside of my old Dunham''s, is the quality of construction.The Dunham has a leather lining that covers and cups the heel.There is nothing to restrict or abrade the heel.The Magnum boot material is thin cloth with a rigid heel piece that turns from hard to soft right at the heel/tendon area.This creates a friction point that constantly abrades my heel.The aforementioned raised stitching also provides friction.

I thought, after some contemplation, that perhaps my feet had become wider and so ordered the same boot, from Shoes.com.These wider boots did feel roomier and I set about breaking them in.The blisters arrived in miles and I had to switch to my old boots.I tried to break these boots in over a period of weeks.They never became easier to walk in.As for the inner heel area?It lasted about 12 miles.A look inside found the same erosion of material.

These Magnum boots are simply cheap, chinese made, crap. I wont be buying this brand of boot again.
