ECCO Women''s Groove Sandal

I looked for months for a sandal to take on my 21 day trip to Italy.I have plantar facitis but wanted a sandal that not only supported my feet but would look attractive.I read reviews and settled on the ECCO groove.It was everything I was looking for, comfortable, attractive and sturdy it handled all those tough hills in Italy and yet looked good at night.A great buy.

I wore these sandals right out of the box yesterday.I literally walked miles in them and can honestly say that these are the most comfortable walking sandals I have ever owned.I have spent a small fortune on every kind of fashionable ''comfort'' shoe and sandal for vacations which always involve hours and hours of daily walking and every pair starts out feeling comfortable then pretty soon, the balls of my feet feel like they''re on fire.I am not a diabetic so I don''t know about the tiny breathable holes on the sole causing discomfort as the previous reviewer mentions but for me, they are part of the ''comfort'' design that add excellent cushioning to the soles of my 50+ year old feet.

These also don''t look like granny sandals.The t-strap makes them look gladiator-ish and quite fashionable which is exactly the look I wanted.It''s been a long time since I''ve been so enthusiastic about the comfort of my non-athletic footwear and these sandals definitely give me ''happy feet''.

I really wanted to love these shoes...I really did!They are really cute and well made with soft leather. The footbed was my only issues and it would have been a great footbed had it not been for the breathable holes and the stitching on the footbed itself. I would actually use the word "bite" to describe how that felt on my feet...like I had little needle size marks on my feet where the holes were on the shoes and I only wore them for about 15 minutes around the house so I can imagine that it would have been a lot worse at the end of a long day standing on my feet. If your feet aren''t really sensitive then I do not think that this would be a problem, especially since I read every review on every website and didn''t see anyone else complain of this same thing but if you have really sensitive skin or diabetic feet I would recommend against any of the shoes in the Ecco Groove line.

I ordered these sandals for my trip to Italy. They were absolutely perfect in every way --We walked on cobblestone streets, sometimes five hours a day, and they couldn''t have been more comfortable. The smooth foot bed with just enough cushion and flexibility is a great design. I also liked the fact that I could wear them with sun dresses or shorts, which eliminated the need for packing multiple pairs of shoes.
