Much less bulky than a traditional skate shoe, and much more flexible.
I''m a woman with wide feet, so I typically buy men''s sneakers to have a little extra wiggle room. I usually get a men''s 5, although in this case I got a 5.5 just in case they were heavily padded as skate shoes tend to be. I would call them pretty true to size, because they''re a teeny bit big, but I don''t really mind.
They''re extremely comfortable, with plenty of padding in the right places and without the thick, inflexible sole many skate shoes have, which makes them better for non-skate activities like walking or dancing.
I especially love the design it''s slim and classic, like an oxford, and in fact I wear both pairs to my office job almost every day.
So basically, a great all-around shoe for those of us who don''t want to wear grownup shoes most days.
The laces kinda stink, though they''re some sort of plasticy stuff that''s fairly stiff, and as a result, they come untied more frequently than regular laces.
