Buy Rainbow Premier Leather 302 Narrow Strap Sandal - Women''s Now
I had purchased the single layer thick strapleather sandal 2 years ago, wore them pretty much every day all summer long (I was allowed to wear them to work), and just now, after 2 years, they started losing their padded support on the pressure points of my feet (heel and ball). They are a very well made sandal and super comfortable. This time I went ahead and got the double layer thin strap leather sandal because I want that extra arch support and padding, and I hope they will last longer than 2 years. They had a minimal break in period the straps were slightly snug and rubbed the inside of my feet a little raw the first time. After that they were fine. I remember when I first bought the thick strap sandals, they were instantly comfortable no break in period.
I love how they quickly mold to your feet, and the footbed is smooth and soft leather.I prefer leather footbeds because they do not hold odors like synthetics do, and leather allows your feet to breathe.
I have taken many long walks in them already, and they are great at shock absorption and have a nice supportive arch.
The one semi-negative thing I can think of to say is that the sizing is difficult.I normally wear a size 7.5-8 in any shoe, but in the Rainbow Sandal sizing chart, I found the Large (7.5-8.5) to be 3/4" too large.I wish I would have ordered the next size down, although I really don''t think it has affected the function of the sandal.Only looks slightly too big for my feet.

After reading several reviews stating these sandals require a break-in period, I figured, "I''m tough.I can handle it.I live in flip-flops year-round.How bad can it be?"Well yeah, I''m still handling it after wearing these sandals daily for over a week. The good news is, my arches are getting some relief. Not nearly as much as I''d hoped, though.
You guys were not kidding about breaking in, were you?Breaking the skin, too, bleeding all over the straps because they have rubbed the skin raw.Bandages help a little, but much more of this and I am going to be running around with mummy feet.Anyone know how to get blood off leather?Or are bloodstains supposed to be some peculiar badge of honor for these things if I can endure long enough to grow some oh-so-(NOT)sexy calluses on the tops of my feet?
Whether these sandals are worth the high price -at this point I would say no.I was hoping the arch support would be enough to justify the price. But the support is really not that great; and the chafing and pain of the straps, the thick rough sinew-like thread they used for stitching, and the sharp, skin-cutting double layer of stiff grosgrain ribbon used for the thong, are all much more severe than I expected. There are sandals out there that have better arch support and equivalent cushioning for less money, that are not exquisite instruments of torture during some unspecified-length break-in period.Pain notwithstanding, I''d rather pay less and replace cheaper sandals a little more often, than shell out big bucks for long-lasting sandals that require the patience of Job to endure break-in misery and don''t even do the job very well.

I wore rainbows every day in collegeeven in the rainbecause they were so comfortable. What happened? These are unwearable even after ample "break in" time. Money wasted.
