Buy Merrell Women''s Violetta Sandal Now
I was slightly hesitant buying these because normally I am a 7.5.I got them in a 7 and they fit well. I did a lot of walking with them right away and had no problems with blisters or hot spots.Read Best Reviews of Merrell Women''s Violetta Sandal Here
My foot doc said to refrain from power walking due to plantar fasciitis in my right foot. Several months later I was determined to participate in a 5K Color Run with my daughter. My expensive Brooks and New Balance tennis shoes hurt my foot after a while, but my Merrell Violetta''s don''t!!I bought them during summer 2012 so I chose to wear them for the 5K in November. They were the most comfortable option I had and although they got color stained, I did not experience ANY pain in my foot during the event.Unbelievable!Mine are the "aluminum" color, but they are hardly that color now after washing them with laundry soap and Oxiclean paste. (Understandable.)I was happy the blue color even came out.
I wear my sandals several times a week, if not daily (depending on weather). The velcro adjustments on the PADDED ankle strap BEHIND my ankle allow it to come completely off and back on to my liking. After slipping my foot into the sandal, the strap across the TOP of my ankle is also adjustable (not padded). So when I first bought my Violettas, I adjusted them and never had to again. They wore in nicely and were comfortable from the day I bought them.Mine are a size 9, since they don''t sell my size 9W.I don''t recall any problems breaking them in for my width.
During the winter, I cannot find good "support" slippers for my PF, so I simply wear cotton socks inside my Violettas around the house to keep my feet warm while supporting my foot.I don''t think they are very attractive wearing them with socks in public.
The ONLY reason I did not rate these awesome sandals 5 stars is because since the day I bought them 6 months ago, my feet smell (sweaty?) after wearing them for a few hours. That is not normal with any of my other shoes or sandals. It''s the material of the foot bed against my foot, whatever it is made out of.I bathe daily and am sensitive to odors, so when I wear my Violettas in the Spring-Fall months, I powder or spray my feet first, or I wear socks with them around the house.
My Violetta sandals have taken an "adventurous" beating, yet seem to be well made and have been good to me.I will continue to wear them for a long time when at the beach, trekking, camping or lounging at home. But I am definitely buying another pair of Violettas to wear elsewhere in public.I love how they help my foot!Merrell sandals have been well reviewed by many, and I''ll simply add my own enthusiasm.I bought these when the previous pair I''d been wearing (and bought in a store) were finally so dirty I felt bad to be seen in them. But I''d worn them at least 7 years, and had NEVER had a pair of sandals that were so comfortable and had such good support.I could wear them all day and be sorry to take them off.It took me a couple tries to find the right style to replace them over the Internet, but I found quickly that the only shoes I wanted were Merrells and I settled on these, and haven''t been sorry. The support is excellent, the fit is perfect. The wrap around the ankle works, but is time consuming to put on.A small complaint, and my only one.I love Merrell shoes!
