Birki''s Women''s Salina Sandal

I have narrow feet and have worn birks for years. I always purchase adjustable strap sandals to tighten them up on my feet. I ordered these in narrow. This sandal has two adjustable straps but the diagonal strap that reaches from one strap to the other is not adjustable. So even though I adjusted two straps the diagonal strap bulges and sticks up, very unattractive. This is no fault of the seller and I love this flower print, very cute! I would have kept them except for the bulging strap. If you have average or wide feet these should work great for you. I wouldn,''t recommend if you have narrow feet.

These are the best pair of sandals that I have ever owned. I''ve never had trouble breaking in my Birki''s. However, the strap did rub my little toe a little bit, but now my toes are used to the straps, and I no longer have any problems.

I don''t have pretty feet. They''re small but very wide, and I jokingly refer to them as Hobbit feet (without the fur!), and it is hard to find quality shoes that fit well and are comfortable. I long ago gave up on all the lovely, feminine styles out there because (1) they are not comfortable and (2) I look ridiculous in them. Birkenstock/Birki''s makes shoes for wide feet. I normally wear size 6 but ordered down to size 5M because it seems they tend to run large. They come in narrow and medium (which is wide) widths. Turns out this was a wise decision as these fit perfectly, are crazy comfortable and actually nice-looking. I love the tan color and it is exactly as it appears in the picture. The soft footbed makes all the difference; I''ve owned Birkenstocks before with the hard footbed and they were okay but not as cozy as these they hug my feet so well that it feels as if they are custom-made! I couldn''t be happier with these sandals and seller; I think I may need to order a few more pairs. The least expensive ones are in the tan color, which also happened to be my favorite of all the colors. But I would pay more for these now that I know what a great value they are at any price. After years away from Birks, I have returned to the fold!

Two Weeks Later...

Please take note that the pair I ordered were in the color "Amalfi Standing Tan" (great color) and made of leather. The ones pictured with this review are made of a synthetic material which I have since discovered does not give the same flexible fit as leather. My pair are going strong. The synthetic material is still good quality and looks nice but just not as form-fitting as the leather.

Let''s be honest: Birkenstock''s are not the cutest shoes, but they are darn comfortable! I bought these because they are a bit more stylish than some other Birks I''ve seen. They are comfortable, but the foot bed is a lot softer than I expected. (I''ve never owned a pair of Birki''s before, only Birkenstocks) I find myself missing the firmer feel of my old birkenstocks, they also don''t quite mold to my feet as much as I''d like. The quality is fantastic, and I do get compliments on the style.

The sandals fit well, the style is fun and sporty, goes well with jeans and casual outfits. The distressed look is just as advertised.

The only thing is the sizing, I went into a store, and it turned out that I need a size smaller than my normal. Unfortunately the store didn''t have this style, so I bought it here.
