Clarks Women''s Evant Emma Wedge Sandal

This is a nice fitting sandal, but is not as cushioned as i hoped it would be.The straps are a soft leather and the shoe didn''t require any breaking in time.My only complaint is that there is not enough cushioning under the ball of the foot.If you don''t have to walk too far in them they are fine.I think I will go back to Seychelles which has better cushioning.

Update:I have been wearing this sandal pretty regularly since purchasing it ~ 1 month ago and it has gotten more comfortable.It has become my go-to shoe.Now i would give it 5 stars and consider buying this brand again.

I was surprised because I thought Clark''s was a fairly matronly-looking brand of shoes. I bought these on recommendation of my sister, who assessed that she could "run in these". I have wide feet so I was concerned with the leather straps; the width was, though fitted, still comfortable and will become more so since the leather has some give. The fit is true to size in length, and the quality is exceptional (despite everything being made in China nowadays). The heel height is perfect for the style and the leather seemingly sturdy (I think it will age well). I really love the tan color and would buy another pair due to the great combination of comfort and style I no longer have to sacrifice one for the other. I was happy with this purchase so I bought the Cynthia Avant (peep toe pump) and love those, too. Overall will shop Clark''s shoes first (and on Amazon) when shoe shopping. Shipping took a while but it was free, so worth it and appreciate that Amazon has a free returns policy, since with apparel shopping, I''m not always sure how something will fit when buying online. Overall, great deal and I''m looking forward to wearing these with all my summer styles. Versatile enough to go with dresses/skirts and jeans, even capris and shorts.

I bought these to wear to a wedding. By the end of the wedding my toes were in alot of pain. I have narrow feet so hopefully they will stretch out some with more wear. Only wore them that one day so far.

I love the look of these great looking dark brown sandals !

BUT....comfort is everything for me. These sandals are not comfortable right out of the box.

I have an average B width foot....the strappy top part of this sandal

is fine for comfort while walking.

However, there is not enough padding on the interior bottom

of this sandal to allow for comfort without question, while walking.

In case you don''t know this fact, always try a new shoe by walking

on a hard surface....a rug is not a good indicator for true comfort.

i.e. when I walk on my rug, they feel almost comfortable...

when I walk from my rug to my wooden floor I can feel discomfort

on the ball of my foot where most of my weight is.

I will give them a bit more time to see if this problem changes....

but from past history, if a shoe is not comfortable right away,

chances are that it won''t be....eeek!....because I do love the look !

OK, I''ve given these sandals a fair test....they are not comfortable :( !!!
