Clarks Women''s Sugar Charm Pump

I have owned Clark''s brand of shoes in the past so when I needed a new pair of black shoes I recently ordered these in a 10 wide. I tend to have some issues with finding shoes for the office since my feet are wide and my toes are even (they don''t taper). These shoes fit well and actually leave a little bit of room in front of toes so that when walking they don''t squish up against the front of the shoe. They are great for work or running out to the store with jeans. The heels are not wood and thus don''t ''click'' down titled hallways which I personally like. As with all shoes that have zippers on the side, the zipper itself does not fully stay locked at the top and opens slightly. It also makes a soft tapping noise when walking but nothing too distinctive and is usually not noticable.

The only thing I didn''t expect when I received these shoes was that unlike shoes that lace up, where the top front of the shoe stops just before your ankle, the front of this shoe is actually lower than a regular lace up shoe. The top of the shoe actually leaves over an inch of extra space. Technically due to the wider opening I don''t even need zippers on the shoe. I can slip them on and off without touching the zippers. I only mention this as now my socks tend to show more prominently when walking or sitting (even though my slacks and pants are long enough to sit less than one inch above the floor).

In my job I spend a lot of time on my feet standing and walking. I like the Clark''s brand because they know how to combine comfort and style. These shoes have padded soles and are flexible when I walk. The buckle and the side zipper are nice touches to make the shoe look less frumpy. I wish these were available in more colors.

These shoes/booties are beautiful and very comfortable. The leather is smooth and the design is a little unusual but very appealing. The heel height is low enough to be comfortable for walking but high enough to be a little dressier. Love them!
