I hate buying shoes on line, but where I live, most of the best styles are not available in store....so....I bought this little beauty and am very, very pleased!It looks wonderful, feels wonderful and is almost exactly what I anticipated when I placed my order.As for the teeny caveat....I have a VERY high instep (when I was younger, I could put all my weight on one foot and still be able to shoot a pencil under that foot with no problem it has lowered only slightly since then) and the non-buckle strap crossing the instep is fixed with a bit of elastic that extends less than 1/2 inch.I loosened the buckle strap to the first hole and was able to slip my foot into the shoe with no trouble at all and, once on, the shoe was very comfortable.If not for the fixed strap over the instep, I could have taken 1/2 size smaller.But, comfort is of prime importance to me in any shoe and this one fits the bill the sole is not flexible, but the ease of the fit makes that a non-issue for me. To have a comfortable shoe that is also lovely to look at is the best of both worlds.
