My 14 month old has slightly wide, very thick feet.They look like pudgy triangles from the side.I''m having a hard time finding a shoe he can wear.These sandals, unfortunately, are not an exception.I even took him to the Stride Rite store to try on various styles and their extra wide options.None of their shoes would close over his chunky feet.Otherwise, the brown shoe with leather interior appears well-made and adorable, with a flexible sole that would be perfect for my new walker.
The straps on this are fraying alittle(its only been a few weeks) and the inside is man made materials.
I was warned that this kind of inside would make the the babies feet sweat more and they have.
The other version(fully brown) have a leather inside and keep the feet cooler. Wish I had noticed the different, I assume they were the same just different colors.
As far as the fit and the baby not tripping because of her sheos these are perfect for a almost or new walker.

We are really enjoying these sandals. They are perfect for our warm FL climate, and no need to put on socks. Very soft leather inside and out. Very flexible soles. The insoles have a mark of when youneed to start looking for a large size. Very happy with Stride Rite overall.
