Birki''s Women''s Tanega Softbed Sandal

I have worn Birkenstocks all my life.The softbed is a HUGE improvement.I went with this style because I wanted the stepping security of a strap around the ankle.There are not many Birk styles with ankle straps.The shoe is great EXCEPT the top strapping is made of some krappy material that even PILLS!! (Ya..that''s right...little balls of material)I am very dissatisfied with the shoes because of the upper material.Birkenstock....you should be ashamed.

Just bought these in person today I have a few pairs of Birkenstocks & Birkis, but only one with a soft footbed before today! Will be great for extended sightseeing, etc., and I wanted a pair with the ankle/back-strap for the odd times I really want the sandal to be secure on my foot (like roller-coasters or something). I have a high arch, and the arch strap is a bit tight on its loosest setting any snugger & I would have had to keep myself from buying them (I tried another style with a thin arch strap closer to the ankle once, and could not buy them). Taupe colour is good for wearing with anything! They fit me the same as my classic two-strap and my clogs...which is the tiniest bit smaller than my Madrids (one-strap style, which reviews as fitting a big big). I usually wear a 9 in shoes, and often an 8 in sandals, so I get 38 in Birkenstocks. 38.5 would likely be my perfect size, if they came in half sizes! 39 looks just a bit too long for me, but likely ok on a similar foot if you don''t mind a bit of extra space.

These are wonderful! Typical of the Birki brand, they are comfy and fit the foot well. I can walk around all day in these and my feet don''t get fatigued or sore. Great sandals!
