The name and description may seem a little hokey but if you are looking for an old-fashioned pair of leather sandals you won''t find any better than these. They have a rubber bottom sole that cushions your step, has good traction even when wet, and seems to wear forever; a quality leather top sole that prevents rubber ''burn'' on the soles of your feet; and quality leather straps. I bought a pair 2 years ago that I literally have worn every day, all day. The straps are a little scuffed but other than that they look like they have at least another two years in them. I bought another pair for ''dress''.A couple pieces of advise: the last pair shipped from Jerusalem and shipping defaulted to second day air . . . which cost more than the sandals. I caught it, contacted them via email, and they changed shipping to a slower and much more affordable rate. Sizing is European. I wear a 10 1/2 US. My first pair was size 44 which was a little large, this time I ordered 43 which just right.
