Old Friend Men''s Terry Cloth Moccasin

Old Friend Men''s Cloth Moccasin,Chestnut,11 MI had the slippers for about 6 weeks & enjoyed them. After 6 weeks I noticed the stitching on the left slipper was coming undone. At first I thought maybe that stiching is just cosmetic & it would be no big deal. However, with these slippers the stiching you see that runs around the top& front of the slipper is actually holding the top part of the slipper onto the sides.

I called Brookstone (who I ordered it from) they said I need to call Old Friend (no, not my old friendthe manufacturer). They said I need to call Brookstone since they don''t have my money.I said Brookstone told me to call you (classic run around).Besides, I noted I don''t want my money back. Just a functional pair of slippers. They said they would get back to me.Well, that was several business days & no word yet.

Very poor product for a slipper that costs much more than average. Also, poor service as well.

Allow me one sidebar:I ordered a wide size, but got the standard width.Luckily, the standard width was ok.I don''t know who is to blame for this:Brookstone or Old Friend.I imagine they''d blame each other if I asked.

This is my second pair of the Old Friend Men''s Cloth Moccasin, Chestnut color. I use them as bedroom slippers, and also to go outside and get the morning paper.I like them because I can keep them next to my bed and just slip into them without bending over.Good in an emergency as they have a firm enough sole to protect your feet if you have to get out quickly and don''t have time to put on shoes.I have a very wide foot and the 10M size fits me, while other slippers I have tried are simply too narrow. They are slightly snug when new, but loosen up with wear so they are very comfortable. My old pair lasted for a few years. I finally replaced them as the inside sole is very worn out and there is some wear in the sidewalls. But, that''s after a lot of use.The only down side is the tie which is decorative and at times comes untied and can possibly cause you to trip on it. This design on almost all moccasins have the same liability.I double knot mine, but eventually it works loose. So, it''s just a matter of checking it periodically to make sure it''s tied tight. I suppose it can be removed. Not a deal breaker.

This moccasin slipper is extremely comfortable and remarkably sturdy and well-made.The very flexible sole is rugged enough for occasional wear around the yard.It is a bargain at this price. I normally wear a size 9 1/2 or size 10 shoe depending on the width and the exact cut so I ordered a size 10 with the terry-cloth lining. It is a good fit, perhaps even a little loose but I like slippers that way.

This update is to report I am now on my second pair.Enough said!

These are the absolute best moccasins that I have ever worn. I too have diabetic neuropathy like the gentleman who wrote a preceding review and an in total agreement with him and would also add these will be the only shoes that I will be buying in the future. I have had diabetic shoes that I have paid over $250 for and they are not nearly as comfortable as these.

I find myself here today getting ready to buy yet another pair of these fine shoes. For a wonderful casual look...they are just the thing you need.

You do not have to be a diabetic to wear, appreciate and look good in these wonderful shoes.

My husband wears an 11 in everything but needed a 12 in this.I had to pay $4.98 to return these which upsets me, because I consider it their fault that they make the shoes too small.
