Yet, on the other hand, after a few weeks of wear, one of the sandals is starting to show visible cracks. They probably have a few more weeks left before they become useless.
I would like to recommend these sandals because I love Okabashi''s products; however, I must admit my disappointment in their durability and do not recommend this product. :(
I have a pair of both the navy and the black Eurosport sandals. I wear them all the time. The main pros I want to point out are that they are made in the USA, they are extremely durable (in fact almost indestructible), they look cool, they provide good traction, they''re comfortable, and I believe they have a manufacturer''s warranty. The only cons are that they are a bit heavier than I expected and seem just a little stiff in the soles. All around a fantastic sandal for the price though.

These are not representative of the Okabashi lineup. The material seems to be a different composition.I recommend that if you like the features of Okabashi sandals but are disappointed with these, then you should check out the Surf model or if you like a more lightweight but supportive alternative, the Maui style. Both are thong sandals, but the Surf model is exceptionally firm and supportive and work very well for keeping your feet energized even if you are on your feet for hours.
I cannot recommend the Eurosport model unless you are looking specifically for a very cushy and less supportive sandal. These feel great the first time that you put them on but they start to stretch immediately and as a result they are not supportive at all.
More on these later.

I have owned three pairs of the Eurosport''s. Most comfortable sandal I''ve ever worn. After a couple months the front supports do develop cracks and will totally break thru if allowed to. At first, I asked for a replacement pair since it was within warranty period. No problem getting that done, but then those developed the same problems. Now I just touch up with good old Industrial Strength Super Glue (the cheap stuff doesn''t work well)and I''m good for another couple months usually. No problem making them last until the soles wear thru.P.S. I bought my first pair about 6 years ago and I don''t recall those having this problem. Okabashi must have changed something!Have used the $19 Okabashi Euro with mixed results. First thing to note is their sizing recommendations, at least for this model, run a little large. This is the opposite of the problem experience by reviewer Ken Jones, so don''t know what to make of it. Okabashi recommends size "LL" for men with US shoe-size 9.5-10.5For me, thewide heel and high top of the "LL"make it rightly sized for a size 11 foot. Okabashis were great four years ago. Since then, they have used a cheaper plastic compound, the things lasting 66% as long as previous purchase before straps crack/break. Okabashi has a two-year warranty but like me, most probably have mislaid the store (CVS) receipt. I just ordered the $25 Nike First String Slide (in Black/Flint) this time because it appears to cup the foot snugly (bad ankle), has what seems to be a decent non-slip sole and looks to be somewhat durable (see my review there). Just returned the Nikes--slippery soles. Note that the "OKA b Grayson" is close in appearance to the Okabashi but w/shipping costs $33. For that price, I''d likely go with an adjustable top-strap model with a good non-slip sole.
