Naturalizer Women''s Rayne Boot

I walk about five miles each evening with my dogs and in Washington that means rain, mud, and sometimes snow.Although sneakers are very comfortable for that amount of walking, they do nothing to protect my feet and pant legs from the elements.Galoshes are wonderfully weatherproof but unkind to feet over long distances on pavement.

Naturalizer comes to the rescue.I have been wearing these boots for about two weeks am quite pleased.My feet and calves have not once been chilly or wet while walking, and we''ve had a few wet, cold, and windy days.The moderate heel is comfortable and the boot uppers are wide enough to allow tucking in of boot cut jeans.Several evenings I have wished that Naturalizer would make these boots thigh high because I do not feel the wind at all through them.

My only complaint is that the uppers are a little too 80s for my tastes and I still have lots of room in the leg after my pants have been tucked in.My mother says I have bird legs, however, so that may be a part of the problem.Still doesn''t take away the 80s style issue.

UPDATE

These boots have seen three fall/winter seasons of daily dog walking and are still comfortable and in good shape.The soles have worn but not as much as I expected.It looks like there is still another season of life in these boots, if not two.The uppers are in great shape and I haven''t had any trouble or complaints with the lining.

It''s not easy to find shoes or boots that are manufactured well enough to last for several seasons and I''m very pleased with the cost per wear.I still find them to have too much of an 80s vibe, but that''s just me.
