As someone with foot problems, I found these boots to be very comfortable and stylish a combination not easily found. They have nice detail, including a protective tip at the back of the heel to prevent wearout.I absolutely love them and will be ordering in brown.Immediate shipment, great price, service and free S/H through Amazon, as usual! They were actually $43 less than another popular on-line shoe source that claims free S/H.

Since finding boots that are WW, won''t break your wallet, and don''t look like "granny boots" is really quite hard, these sort of hit a sweet spot.

While I consider them very beautiful (I really like the curve of the heel, they don''t look *that* wide), they''re simply not that well-built. First, my feet are quite sore if I wear these boots the whole day (I walk for about an hour and have a job in which I walk about a bit). For this reason, I definitely couldn''t wear them every day of the week, but I think every other day or so will probably be alright. Second, the first day I wore these boots, a small piece on the side of the heel peeled off to reveal the material underneath, i.e., the heel is made sort of like IKEA furniture. The problem is that this material is not even dark brown (like the heel), but white/grayish which makes it quite unsightly. If this happened after I''d worn it a few months, I''d happily take the boots to a cobbler, but on the first day...?

Given the (lack of) options when it comes to WW boots though, I can''t say that I regret buying these. Hopefully they''ll last me through this winter!

I am usually a size 11.5 bought this boot in a size 12 (Clarks does not make 11.5''s).By no fault of Clarks or amazon, the 12 was massive on me so I returned it (without incident, thank you amazon.com).I''m going to try a different style because the part around the ankle was WAY too loose on my scrawny ankles, which may be less of an issue with the proper size, but even if I placed my heel at the back where it belongs, the ankle width was crazy baggy.

I have been looking for a stylish durable pair of casual and/or dress boots for a while. I have been to many department stores only to find "man made uppers" and none with a wide width. These boots are made of leather, are smart looking and are not too high. They can be paired with jeans, leggings or dress pants. I found that the size is pretty true to your regular size. I usually wear a 9 1/2 wide and ordered the same in these boots and my foot did swim a bit, but remember you will most likely wear thicker socks than in a shoe or put an orthotic in the boot. I loved them so much that I purchased the brown pair and the knee high boot in black.
