These shoes are not as supportive as many Clarks I have owned.They are comfortable and well made, but they are a bit loose fitting. I did get them at a great price.

I''m a real fan of Clarks shoes, but I''m sad to say these really don''t cut it in the comfort department. I have to assume all the 5 star reviews come from folks with average-to-flat feet... because although the sole is ''bendable'' and there is cushioning in the footbed, there is ZERO arch support or curvature whatsoever. You can literally see space between the arch in my foot from one side to another when wearing this shoe. So, definitely not optimal in terms of comfort.

I also am not particularly fond of the fit due to the angular strap design. It looks cute, but the shoe would be more secure if there was a more definitive ankle strap.

Despite all of that, I''m actually keeping the shoes because I''m in need of sandals with a closed toe. They are also somewhat more comfortable after several wearings, so I''m naively hoping they''ll improve slightly more with time. So far, I just limit my time wearing these and they''re more or less acceptable-enough for that purpose. I''ve had worse, but I admittedly expect more from Clarks.

The plus side? They are made exceptionally well. Nice leather and stitching. Cute. Good craftsmanship. I guess just think twice if you need more-than-basic arch support.
