KEEN Waimea H2 Sandal (Toddler/Little Kid)

I have bought my children Keen Newport sandals for the last three years and have several pairs myself that I love, but these fell a little short. My husband and I have pairs in adult sizes and really like them, but for my 3 year old daughter, they just didn''t work. I had hoped they would appease her love of flip flops while giving her some more protection and support, but the sole is a little too heavy and stiff to work as a flip flop. As many reviewers have mentioned, the back strap is just too flimsy to hold the sandal on. I tried two different sizes for her and they both had different length straps in proportion to the sandal size. She couldn''t really walk well in either size, so I opted to go with a different style of Keens. They may work for adults or older children who navigate flip flops better, but I would skip it for the little ones. These style of Keens just don''t seem to allow for running and playing as well as others. It doesn''t seem to work for rugged play or as a flip flop.

I gave them three stars because they are high quality and durable. They just were not functional for my daughter.

Our whole family has these flip flops...the thing I like about these for our toddler is that the back strap is not attached roght on to the sandal so I can easily cut it off when he does not need it anymore.

My son has yet to wear these, but they look to be sturdy for the soon-to-be wear and tear from any 4-year old. Quality is very good.

I bought these for my daughter, and she immediately put them on and wouldn''t take them off. The weather is still cold though, so she can''t wear them out yet, but she puts them on just the same!
