Teva Dozer 3 Closed Toe Sandal (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid)

Teva Dozer 3 Closed Toe Sandal,Turkish Coffee,11 M US Little KidAfter reading other reviews for these sandals, I decided to order one size up for my son.I was disappointed when they came and were too big.I returned the larger pair and ordered again in his true size and they were a perfect fit. They are a bit narrow, and my 4 year old cannot put them on by himself. But he loves the sandals and says they''re very comfortable.

I bought this sandal based on my experience with Teva.I''ve worn their sandals for years with no issues. However, these sandals run extremely narrow and small! If your daughter has a medium to medium-wide width foot, I would not recommend these sandals. They are cute and look pretty durable but sizing is a big issue. So if you''re going to order them, I''d definitely recommend ordering a full size larger.

I was expecting a great product considering we have bought our kids different Teva products before. And I have to admit the shoes themselves are not bad.But here are my issues:

First, the velcro strap on top rubbed my son''s foot raw. There was not enough adjustments and they just did not fit right. In order to remedy this we sewed felt on the back side of the strap. This helped.

Second, the heel enclosure is made from the same durable material as the rest of the shoe and after one day at the beach his heals were bleeding from all the rubbing.

I would have thought with the velcro strap and the elastic laces that we would have been able to adjust them to fit better, but we finally gave up.Sorry Teva, its back to the Keen''s for us.

I found this shoe durable and nice looking. However, the sizing can be fairly misleading. My son is advancing from size 9 to 10. So for longevity I bought a size 11. I was taken aback to realize the battle I have to fight each time I need to get it on his feet. The contouring of the design forces one to purchase larger sizes. I do like the sandal, so should I make another purchase I understand I will have to go at least 2 sizes bigger than the norm. I propose that babies with chunkier feet will surely have greater difficulties.
