That being said, I think these boots are awesome!Definitely would have preferred the black or the red but I''m okay with the grey. One thing I did was to remove their grayish ribbon and put in a nice wide bright red one helped the look quite a bit.
i got these in the grey color. it is a strange color and just does not work for my wardrobe. also these boots, as other reviewers have said, fits very snugly around the calf. i am 5''1" and have a very petite frame and i found these to be a little snug for my liking. i usually have the opposite problem with boots. so i cannot imagine how these would fit someone a little bigger.

I visit my parents in Michigan every Christmas & I wanted to find a boot that would not only keep my feet warm but also keep my feet dry!I was so excited to find these boots...100% waterproof & warm in subzero temperature, I should have known that these boots were too good to be true. I put these boots on & they were WAY TOO TIGHT IN THE CALF...what a bummer!I don''t have big calves at all either, I could only put them on with leggings & I still felt like it was cutting off circulation in my lower legs. The foot portion fit really well & they are super comfortable, cute, warm & waterproof...if you have super skinny calves then I completely recommend these boots to you, you''ll love them but if you have regular or large calves then don''t waste your money or time.Read Best Reviews of Bogs Women''s Alex Boot Here
My last pair of rain boots cost me $10 less than these, and I got five wears out of them before they started leaking and falling apart. Waste of money! I wore these Bogs Alex boots for the first time today in a steady city rain. I splashed through puddles like a little kid, and looked pretty cute doing it! I am normally a size 9 1/2, but followed the advice of earlier reviewers and ordered a 9. The fit was perfect in the shoe and ankle, just roomy enough to be comfy. The top did hug my calf, but it was not such a big deal to me... I walked about 30 minutes in the rain and didn''t notice or care about the tight calf after the first five. I will not be tucking jeans into these; I was wearing tights. They will also work fine with jeggings or leggings, which I wear quite a lot. On rainy days, I avoid loose heavy pants anyway, because they take too long to dry. They only caveat is that these are quite warm. More of a sub-50 boot, I''d say. Any temp over that, and you will be roasting your feet. I have a pair of excellent North Face boots for the winter, but now I know I can use these as a snow boot alternate. The quality looks good; I expect these to last a long time. I am very happy with this purchase! By the way, my calf is 15" circumference.Want Bogs Women''s Alex Boot Discount?
I really like these boots. They''re warm, cosy, and comfortable. I solidly wear a 9.5 (narrow) but they only come in 9 or 10. After reading all the other reviews about how they run small, I bought the 10 instead of the 9. Big mistake. They were huge! Sent them back and got the 9 instead. They fit perfectly. They''re snug and warm, but I wouldn''t call them tight at all. I''m about 5''8 and 130 pounds, very athletic. I have slim but muscular legs. And I have no problems getting them off my feet. There''s a little stub on the back of each heel that helps with that. I was mucking around in Atlanta after a rainstorm and it was like nothing with these boots on. I totally recommend them, especially if you need a boot to keep you warm in cold, wet weather. I''m always cold, no matter how bundled up. But not with these boots on! The bow is kind of annoying so I just threaded the ribbon backwards and tied it under the flap so it doesn''t show. But, hey, I''m a minimalist.
