Five years ago I bought my first pair of Merrell sandals while on vacation. I cringed at the price, but fell in love with the comfort and style, and bought them as a vacation treat for myself. They turned out to be the most amazing, supportive, comfortable pair of sandals I ever owned, and despite wearing them nearly year-round for just about every outdoor activity you can think of (hiking, walking on the beach, concerts, casual parties, etc.,) they lasted very well. I finally had to replace them not because they wore out, but because they were dirty beyond cleaning. The Hollyleaf style was the closest to my old pair that I could find with the thick band across the top of the foot, which I loved because they were so supportive and relatively quiet for a pair of flip-flops. Turns out these are as comfortable and even more stylish than my old pair, and just as quiet. The footbed is very supportive for my high arches, the cushioning protects on many different surfaces including rocks, asphalt, concrete, and just about anything in between, and there is no rubbing, pinching or discomfort from the soft and supportive uppers. These are perfect not just for outdoor activities, but also for casual events, and of course just about anywhere on Hawaii. If you are looking for more support and style than the standard rubber flips and want something that will last for years, these are the sandals for you.

Because of knee surgery, Merrells are one of the few shoes I will buy and I typically just suck up the price. My past experience is that they are well made and last a long time even with regular wear.I am particularly impressed with their Q-form technology. It really seems to really make a difference.Sandals are so forgiving and my shoe size solidly predictable, so I bought these shoes with confidence, happy to get a slight discount on the price.HOWEVER, this design, which is also odd looking, pushes the outside edge of the front of my feet over the outside edges of the sandal.The little toe hangs all the way off!!!!The heel is also pushed a little toward the inside edge in back.This is the third time recently I have had to return Merrell shoes purchased online. One was just fit, more generous than I expected, on a clog.Another seemed to be one shoe that was defectively made, the other shoe seemed fine. My sense is this one is the design that shoves the feet toward/off the footbed, outside in front and inside in back.If I could rate it less than 1 star, I would.Returns have been a hassle as well.E-b*y polices its sellers better.The first I agreed I owed the shipping, but not the the other two. Probably will not buy shoes on line again.MAYBE, if it is a shoe I already own and just want in another color. However, I am beginning to wonder if Merrell is slipping on its design and manufacturing QC AND is selling seconds via internet sellers without marking the shoe or the box. These sandals are soooo comfortable!I put them on, right out of the box & took my dog for a 2 mile walk.My feet are Happy!!Love these shoes, will buy another pair.

I have problems finding any shoe that fits comfortably.The less contact with my foot the better.So these sandals are perfect.They are beautufully crafted, brightly colored and extremely comfortable with superb support.I also cannot wear traditional thongs due to toe surgery because they will not stay on my feet.These are the kind of thongs that stay snuggly and securely on my feet.Iliked them so much that I ordered two more pairs in different colors.I will be living in these sandals when the weather finally warms up.
