Mephisto Women''s Altina Sandal

These are the best shoes I''ve had, EVER! I need to buy only half a size bigger for my wide-high-instep feet. I had them for 10 year,and,as the previous reviewer stated, also not going anywhere without my Altinas: my feet feel great on longest trips. Recently, I''ve bought a new pair of Altinas, this time in nubuk, and was a little disappointed: they stretch too much, which makes your foot slide back and forth a little during walking. But maybe it''s just my experience.

I have ordered and worn these shoes for many years.This is my fourth pair.As with so many other things, the quality is not the same anymore.I have had both the black and the brown, and the brown seems to last longer than the black.On the black, the footbed is very soft and the fabric wears away more quickly.Also, the arch support is not as good on this pair as it has been in previous pairs I have bought.

They are expensive shoes and I will keep them because they are great for Florida and are my go-to shoes all during warm weather (which is about 7 months); however, their value to cost is starting to deteriorate in my opinion.

Sadly, these didn''t begin to fit my foot.I always wear a size 9 medium, and I could not squeeze my foot in.I probably could have used a 9-1/2 and even wonder about that.They seemed to be excellent quality, so I''m disappointed.

Every pair of Mephisto shoes I''ve bought has been ultra-comfortable, and these sandals are no exception. The only problem was the size. After carefully measuring my feet and choosing a size based on that (9), when I tried them on, they were too small and pinchy. Sent them back, got a size larger (10) and they''re perfect.
