Tried this item on today in Mahogany. I was surprised at how high the heel was compared to how high it looks online. I was also surprised at how slender this boot made my feet look. It had this really strange, slightly elongating effect, like I was looking at a hoof (long and slender) rather than a foot. I have always been a fan of Sam Edelman shoes, and for me their shoes are always extremely comfortable. The height did not make me uncomfortable, and having a naturally high arch I appreciated the extreme arch support of this shoe. The leather was also exactly as I pictured it online: bright, rich, and glossy. All in all, though, I probably wouldn''t buy this boot in this mahogany except for the novelty of resembling a woodland creature. On the other hand, I think the black would be really slenderizing/draw the eye up with a sleek black tight.
