Lucky Women''s Sabstar Slipper

Lucky Women''s Sabstar Slipper,Black,11 M USIn 2008 I got a Dearfoams Women''s Sueded Microfiber Scuff Black,Large (US Women''s large 8-9 M)"

------I LOVED those slippers but they now need to be replaced. I wanted to get a couple more of those in different colors but unfortunately they are not being made anymore. [cry] They were soooo cute.

So after much looking today I received:

1) Dearfoams Women''s Df775 Slipper

3 stars= the stars are mostly for the color and warmth. They totally flunk on fit.

----They have a nice purple color (a bit darker then the pic). Feel thick and (if they fit) would be comfy. They are a bit bland for my taste but nice enough for every day use.

I have a size 7.5 foot but my feet are very wide + I like my slippers "roomy" so I opted for the large (9-10) Df775 instead of a medium (7-8). Despite the larger size they are far to narrow for me to want to ware. Interesting enough the length of the slipper is about the same as my old ones even though they should be a size or 2 bigger. Unfortunately they are (as others have said) cut much narrower then the older shoes where. There is also only a finger maybe finger and a half left of shoe at the toe so if you have a size 9 or 10 foot I highly doubt these shoes would be long enough even if you have narrow feet.

Needless to say these are going back and the hunt for a replacement will start again. [sigh]

2)Lucky Women''s Sabstar SlipperSlate,9 M US"

4 stars = for look, warmth, fit. One maybe 2 stars off for the very high price.

-----The price on these are the biggest negative, even on sale ($47). They are warm and comfy to ware even on my very wide feet and very cute. The stitching and studs add allot to these to make a very attractive slipper. I would recommend a size or too larger for these also but the length and width are much better then the other slippers. Besides the price for me the only other negative is that they are harder to slip in and out of. For most people that wouldn''t be a problem but I have to change shoes a dozen times or more a day to take the dogs out so this is a negative for me. I also wish that there was a bit more tread on these so they would be safer to ware outside if I chose too, as is they might be too slick on a wet floor.

These shoes will be very welcome on a cold winter night/day here in Michigan. :)
