New Balance Women''s WW895 Walking Shoe

I frequently wear New Balance''s CW442 Classic Sneaker and was now looking for a walking shoe that felt equally light and comfortable but had a bit more cushioning than the 442. I found it in the WW895.

This shoe is extremely comfortable and really does put a spring into my step thanks to its thick sole it almost feels as if it aids my walking... It is a far cry from my old New Balance walking shoes from about 10 years ago which I never really learned to love. The WW895 is flexible, looks good and is so light-weight that it is close to wearing no shoes at all. The one thing that took a bit of getting used to is that the tongue of this shoe is attached on one side of the shoe but I learned to appreciate this quickly as it makes bunched-up tongues a thing of the past.

I love this shoe and wear it without socks, because it is that comfortable. However, women who prefer or need more stability and/or support when they walk might not find the WW895 to be the right walking shoe for them. This is more of a casual walking shoe which due to the rather flexible upper materials allows for more movement than some people might like.

Final note: I first got a pair of WW895s in Pink/Grey but the color was too loud for me and also there was a noticeable seam on the inside of the right shoe that uncomfortably rubbed my foot below my big toe. I returned and ordered the white ones instead. In my opinion this color is much more wearable and also the shoes do not have the seam problem. So should you get one that rubs on the inside, it is likely a defect and not part of the shoe''s design.

The BEST Walking shoes I have ever had.They are comfortable and light.What a great investment.I walk on the treadmill and had no problems.Prior to wearing the shoes I had leg, knee and hip pains not with these New Balance. HURRAY

I typically purchase Asics shoes as they are supportive and light. I have been disappointed with New Balance in the past, but Health magazine gave the WW895 an excellent review. To my surprise, the shoes were so light, but provided excellent arch support. After walking, my feet did not hurt and I was sold...these shoes have exceeded my expectations.

Love, love, love these sneaks.Love them so much they compelled to write my first product review ever.They are SO comfortable I might purchase another pair just in case they stop carrying them.My feet go numb pretty quickly when at the gym doing the elliptical, and after 40 minutes of pretty high intensity, I don''t have any numbness!I have a high arch and usually have to wear SuperFeet, but these sneakers are so squishy yet still give enough support I don''t need them.I actually walked around with a SuperFeet insole in one, and no changes to the other shoe and couldn''t notice a difference.They''re pretty neat looking too.I have an odd size/shaped foot ordered a 10.5 narrow and they fit great!Get these sneakers!!
