We got these for our son''s first pair of real shoes when he began walking at 11 months. He wore them daily for about 4-5 months straight, until he began to grow out of them. The shoes are still in great shape, they held up well through water play in the summer, dirt, mud, etc. The velcro still works perfectly. They''re a little on the narrow side compared to some other little boys shoes. That worked great for our son but might not if your child has a wider foot.
Really nice and sturdy shoe, runs a little big as my daughter is a 5.5 and it still fit her big.
