I bought the boot in black. True to size 9.5. Comfortable, but would not attempt to hike or stand for many hours in them. Lace-up is easy, slipping the foot in is not an ordeal. The foot slant of the heel to ball of foot took a few moments to adjust to. The front is elevated a little in proportion to the heel, so not as awkward feeling on the foot as it may appear at first glance. Super cute with jeans and I would buy them again in a heartbeat. I purchased them off bonton (great price!) and am very pleased with quality, feeland look of these boots!!

This sandal is better looking in the photo than when it arrives. I was hoping the color would be a little brighter. This color is more of a dusty red, very faded looking. The arch support is nice and the heel is very padded. I think a little bit too expensive for a sandal. I have plantar fascitis and over pronation, I purchased these for support. I run in these sandals.They work great for this (better than Vibram 5-Fingers).I run mostly trails and they seem to hold up for about 100-200 miles.But even as casual sandals they look good, are priced right and I highly recommend them.

I love the comfort of sheepskin slippers, but have always had two problems: my feet get sore from the lack of arch support, and the idea of wearing anything non-washable repeatedly without socks kinda squigs me out.Then along came these Old Friend Juliet slippers. They are well constructed, oh-so-comfy, and have a removable, WASHABLE insole. Hurray!
The insole itself actually offers a little support due to its shape, but I can also slip an insert under it for added support. What a difference it makes for my poor flat feet! And being able to wash the insole makes me wonder how I ever wore my old sheepskin slippers for so long.
These do run a little small, so you might need the next size up.

Have owned quite a few pairs of this type of slippers. From LL Bean to Lands end and other high end retailers. Who ever thought of the name "Old Friend" got it right!Not only are they comfortable like that over-washed sweatshirt you always find yourself in, but the quality is remarable. I agree if you are a 1/2 size go up to the next.I''m a 7 1/2 and the 8 fit perfect. Love the outer sole that can be worn outside without the thought of destroying them. 5 STARS across the board with these. Also thispaticular style is wonderful in that you can roll up the cuff and have a mid-rise ankle boot that doesn''t make your feet too warm or should I say sweaty. A bonus is thatyou can removethe inner sole to clean it so you never have an oder or matted down sheepskin, and if I read right they are replaceable. How can you beat that!

Oh how I wanted these luscious looking slides.Roomy toe, even a half size longer and wider than they are sized.
But the problem is the arch.
We flat footed folks put a lot of weight on the inside edge of our feet, the arch area, where weight does not belong.
Given that despite the wonderful cushioning it is still hard as a rock beneath that layer and with weight on it, it hurts.
Plain and simple not for those of us with pes planus.
If your foot does not roll in, then these should be divine!

I love the Gentle Souls brand -have a pair of their boots that I live in in winter. So when I was looking for a summer sandal, I was delighted to find these. The style reminded me of a more expensive Donald J Pliner sandal I have lusted after for several years, a classic one-strap leather slide that goes with everything, but with the cute detailing on the side. I ordered a size 7, which is what I normally wear, but it was way too big. Returned it for a 6.5 (vastly relieved to find it was available in half sizes, which many upscale sandals are not these days) and they seemed to fit perfectly. I wore them only a few times before I went on a trip where I ended up doing a LOT of walking through airports, and I soon found that a blister had formed on the top of both feet where the strap had rubbed. Now, I do have a high instep, and that could be the reason this happened, so I won''t blame the shoes entirely, but it is still a great disappointment to spend this much money on sandals and discover a problem too late in the game to return them. These shoes have the softest leather uppers. The soles are also soft and flexible. They don''t quite fit my arch properly, which is the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. Having said that, they do seem to be conforming to my feet the more often that I wear them. I''ve never bought red shoes before, but have found them to be more versatile than I imagined. The color is perfect for jeans or khaki, and, of course, white and navy. Can be worn casual and even a bit on the dressy side. Glad to have found them on sale through Amazon at an amazing price!
