I ordered a 6-1/2 AA, my usual sandal size, and the fit is true.The color, antique black, is as pictured.Another good thing is that they are light weight.These are basic, useful, casual shoes.On the downside, these are not sexy shoes.They''re sort of old lady shoes. And while I was so glad to be able to purchase narrows, the top strap has absolutely no give and has worn a blister into the top of my foot after walking a few blocks.Maybe because I have high arches.Also, I''m doubtful that the pillowy sole will hold up for long.It''s comfortable to stand still in but does not give extra arch support.I paid $33 and they got here in less than a week, so I''m satisfied enough and will keep them and wear them as long as they last.If you have never tried Softwalk shoes, now is the time.The sole is so incredibly comfortable you won''t want to wear any other shoes!!! I do best in shoe lasts that have a wider toe and narrow heel.Buying this shoe in the length recommended after a foot measurement works best for me.Still, my right foot is1/8" shorter.As others complained, the velcro strip on the tops should cover a longer area so we people with narrow feet can cinch the shoe tighter.I solved this by going to a shoe repair guy who sewed on some extra velcro on the tops.I don''t know why the shoe manufacturers can''t do this--it doesn''t effect the look of the shoe. Good casual sandal I''ve owned for six months and more, it''s held up extremely well, the velcro is good quality and the straps/buckles that I at first thought would probably disintegrate very quickly have proven surprisingly durable.It is light, comfortable and provides reasonable support, great for all day wear or casual afternoons.
The colors have not faded, they clean easily and still looks good even after getting everything from salt water to grease spilled on them.
Recommended yes, definately.

These sandals have no platform and a 6-inch heel...which really makes my legs and butt look good! I had some similar shoes a while back but the heels were not very strong and one broke clean off. I bought these in size 36 (I am size 6US) and in "pale blue" which is actually more of a grey/white. They looked steely white when I ordered them, and I was glad to see that it was that color when I got them.The color is beautiful, they pop so nicely with black tights. These shoes make a big statement and I love the midheel--When I go out and look fantastic, I need to be able to stand or dance all night, or what''s the point?
The one drawback is, I wish these were more cushioned. The insole feels hard. I am trying some inserts in there, but you have to be careful with these because of the way they slip on and off with that crossover shoe collar in the front. A thick or overly smooth insert might make it too easy to slip out of these when walking.
That said, I am still very happy with my purchase. I try to avoid leather these days, and these shoes are such an interesting and fashionforward alternative to leather. Love the color, unique style, and midheel. Awesome statement shoe!

I went from DVS skating shoes to these. I look for a few different but in my opinion, basic features for a shoe.1) Simple, clean, ''minimalist'' design. No thrills, no in your face colors, no crazy features.
2) comfort. I''m on my feet roughly 8-14hours a day for my job and other things going on. I need shoes to stay comfy for months. These never seem to get worn out.
3) Long lasting soles. The soles need to last me months. I hate when I buy a shoe and 2 months later parts of the bottoms are smoothed out and provide no traction.
4) Solid construction. If it can''t last me 3+ months, it won''t work for me. I have a pair still holding together after a year of use. They''ve been regulated to basic house type chores work now, but no construction issues at all.

I really love the style of this boot.Very classic and flattering.I''m extremely picky about boots and leather quality and these are high quality although I would expect them to be for their high price.However, I am docking a star (or a star and a half if I could) for their high price point and the fact that they seem like they''ll need a lot of maintenance and upkeep at least in the light color.They will show water marks and get dirty quickly so I''m thinking I need to condition and waterproof them and hopefully they''ll be ok.The sole is thin and seems like it will wear very quickly and need replacing early especially if you live in a pedestrian city like NYC and walk a fair amount on concrete.The leather on the toe and sides just doesn''t really have much of a buffer from the ground at all since the sole is so thin and is slightly smaller than the width of the shoe so I think it will be easy for them to get scuffed. I find it annoying that at this price I will have to spend more money at the cobbler soon to add rubber soles, when Loeffler Randall could have just made them with a thicker leather sole or a rubber sole to begin with.All of my other pairs of boots (Including other high end brands like stuart weitzman) have more durable thicker and slightly wider soles.Boots by nature should be able to hold up to more wear and tear than say a pair of dress heels that have a thin leather sole.

Caring for leather soles:
A flexible and form-fitting leather sole is both a luxury and a tradition of Loeffler Randall boots. Sole care is a matter of personal preference and individual wear (see above!) as a general rule, if you push your thumb against the sole and it feels soft, you should replace the sole. A cobbler can fit your boot with either leather or rubber soles, as appropriate. Replace the heel-tap once it wears down, and lastly, stay attentive to the heel lift because a worn-down lift can damage the heel or wedge cover, which is difficult to fix."
Another thing to note is that they are now made in Brazil, and they used to be made in Italy, so they do not have Italian craftsmanship like before. At the time I purchased them Amazon''s listing said they were made in Italy so I was disappointed when I saw that mine were made in Brazil (Amazon has since updated the listing to the correct country of manufacture.)A lot of other websites selling them still say they are made in Italy and perhaps have not been informed of the change by LR since the listings are not updated.
The boot fit me true to size, but I wear them without socks or with thin socks, so if you wear thicker socks it''s probably better to size up.I have small calves so I can''t comment on those who may be worried about them being too narrow in the calf, but I was actually worried they would look too big in the calf like a lot of boots are and they are slightly big in the calf for me, but not in an unflattering way.I would love it if they were a bit narrower in the calf/ankle but the style is slightly slouchy so I don''t think the extra room looks bad the way it would with zip up boots.
Everything said, despite the high maintenance issues, with fashion sometimes love of a style/design just trumps, and I''d love to get another pair in a darker color in the future if I ever seem them on sale...
