I bought one pair of these at the mall, and loved them.Bought another pair online via Amazon.com for my mom, and they arrived frayed in three places along the top stitching around the toe.We thought it was merely mfg defect, and was wearable although VERY casual-looking.Ordered another pair, which arrived frayed even worse, and are not wearable unless you want to look like you''ve had them for months.Very unfortunate.The shoes are very comfortable, and if you want the "lived-in" look, these are fine for the low price.But if you want crisp-looking, chic boat shoes, these are probably not your best bet.

I''ve owned similar Birkenstocks before, and I ordered this only because I needed new ones. My old Birkenstocks lasted me a good three years, and I would still wear them, but unfortunately, I lost one of the shoes.

For me, I had no trouble breaking into these ultra comfortable shoes. I do advise, however, that although these shoes are comfortable, they aren''t good for extremely long walks because the arc can tire your feet out faster than usual.

I love how I can wear just about anything with these sandals, and I also love how it''s not shaped like some cheap flip-flop. They don''t look waterproof, but they handle water just fine, and they can last way longer than Rainbows if you take care of them.

Overall, I strongly recommend trying these shoes!

After reading a couple of reviews, I decided to go ahead and take the chance to buy these sandals. I was afraid they would ship the wrong size (per other customer''s feedback) or that I wouldn''t like the design.

I rarely wear any other shoes.The Madrid style has the same incredibly adaptive and support foot bed with the style of the original Dr. Scholl sandals (much more comfortable).Because there is only one strap across the front, they behave more like a flip flop than other styles I own. If you''re used to that, you''ll have no problem with them. As always, the foot bed breaks in quickly. (TIP: put them on after a hot shower while you feet are steamy warm, they''ll just mold around your foot).The silver is a nice muted metallic which allows you to dress them up or down.This particular style might not be the best for long walks (given the single strap) but they are still super comfortable.

Love the look of the single strap Madrid, a little more femminine than the double strap.Right out of the box these were the perfect fit....was a little concerned about break in period etc...but as soon as I put them on they were amazing wore them around the house in the evening, in the morning put them on after my shower and went for a 2 hour walk absolutely no sore spots at all; did not want to take them off.Would highly recommend Birkenstock sandals to anyone, feels like you are walking barefeet.Will definetly invest in a few more pairs in different colors.Sizing was good, normally wear a 9 9 1/2 ended up with the 41N and they are perfect.Can definetly notice the difference from the copy cat brands sold in Walmart etc....NO COMPARISON get the real thing you will not regret it :)

After many years of passing up Birkenstocks for more feminine sandals, I relented and decided I wanted a pair of quality shoes for summer.My first thought?Birkenstocks.When viewing a Birkenstock shoe you can easily see the quality and know that they will last for many seasons to come.That said, quality may not always mean comfortable right out of the box (lol).My feet are flat and Birkenstocks appear to be made for those with higher arches.I am literally trying to wear them as often as I can to "break them in" hoping that they will get more comfortable as they get worn.They actually hurt my feet so much when I first put them on that I waited a month before trying them again.I have had other pretty decent quality shoes throughout my life and very few of them hurt after wearing them for a few minutes.

These shoes are true to size. DO NOT listen to the customer who said they had to order an 8.5 when they usually wear a 7. Born Men''s Harrison Boot

Great shoes! They take 1-2 days to break into, however they are very comfortable once you have worn them in.

The only reason I rated them a 4 instead of a 5 is because I think that the stitch work around the laces could have been done better. But the stitching at the base of the shoe is great.

My husband loves these boots! Comfortable enough to wear everyday, all day. He has to be really particular about shoes because of terrible eczema on his feet, and the leather lining in these boots causes no irritation whatsoever.

I think I went through about 8 pairs of chukka style boots on Amazon from inexpensive to very expensive and ended up keeping the Born Harrison''s.Either the fit was wrong, the soles squeaked or were made of a composite rubber that crumbled quickly and last but not least, were just so uncomfortable I could not wear them.

Not so with the Born Harrison''s. I would say order a 1/2 size down, instead of a full size. I am a 9.5, tried the 8.5 (too small), but a 9 fit me perfectly.Overall the chukka is well constructed and looks nice either dressed up or with a pair of jeans.The sole is solid rubber, that does not squeak and the tred is low profile enough not to be noticed at all.As for comfort, I am amazed as I normally order high end inner soles (see my other reviews) for almost every pair of shoes I own and just assumed the same would be the case here.However, I put them on and have not even thought about inner soles.They are that comfortable.Also, there was zero break in period, I have been wearing them since I arrived with no foot, leg or knee pain in the slightest.

The sizes are a little big. I normally get size 7 in sandals or heels, but this is a little loose for me (but not uncomfortably loose).

The part between the toes is very thick and gave me blisters. It''s no good for people sensitive there. Also, the shoes clack! They sound like heels so they''re probably not very fitted for casual occasions, unless you''re the kind that likes to click all of the time.

During their first use, the bow became undone on the left shoe on the left side. I was at an event and had to figure something out, so I stapled it back on. Not the best.

We have four children between the ages of 7 and 14(boys & girls) and wanted a shoe for summer that could get wet but would also protect the foot/toes. We purchased four pairs of Teva Dozers. They looked likevery good, sturdy, comfortable shoes, but..... they run smallat least 1 size smaller than other kind Teva sandals. Size 6 (Big Kid) sandals just barely fit my child when other kind Teva sandals size 6 looked big on him.

Used to have Globe CT-IVs and loved them.When I first wore them, they were GREAT.

But sole quickly started to have problems sticking to the shoe, and within 3-4 months there was a big crack in the clear plastic that formed the air pocket for the shoe cushion.Since then I''ve hardly worn them because they hurt my heels too much.

Sent photos to Globe via their twitter account but no reply, poor customer service.

The strap doesn''t necessarily fit flush with my foot and allow the straps to line up straight.These sandals feel more like flip flops than sandals as they make that annoying flip flop noise when I walk.They are not as comfortable as regular Zigs shoes but are still good considering other pairs of sandals I have owned.They feel solid and are easy to keep clean.

I have only had them a couple weeks so time will tell if they will hold up to regular use.
